Still not finding anything. Guess will have to wait, maybe Lambchop or Dushi have the links. :sigh:

I can't believe it. I still can't find the links for the reports about the other fisherman. I must be losing it, lol:::banghead:

One of the major problems is that some of the older videos are just being deleted as time marches on. I vividly recall watching one of the major news channel videos (with Matt Gutman narrating if memory serves) where they showed the fisherman who had been on his boat and witnessed RG and GG on the "beach" (or more properly, "jetty"). He was shown at the "search" location to the left of several other people. While they didn't zoom in for a closeup of his face, it was definitely not Mr. Silva and couldn't have been, since Mr. Silva was noted saying that LE hadn't interviewed him.

I've kept a folder of links on this whole case and nearly half of them are dysfunctional now, and even though I know I had bookmarked this particular one right after viewing it, I've been going through the ones that work and can't see it anymore.

Thank you Elley Mae. I have cropped the picture at the link you provided of Nanki Beach. In looking at the picture, the reef at Nanki appears to be close to shore. In looking at the map, if Robyn disappeared in that particular location (Giordano claimed they snorkeled near shore,) her body would have drifted into the jetty.

I don't believe they were ever in the water at Nanki. JMO

That is an interesting picture since it shows roughly where the current clips across the end of the island (it is the blue line just below the tip of the island, very close to shore at that point). As it passes the tip it will cause turbulence to the west (you can see where it has deposited sand in the bay and scoured into those deposits). In that area you would expect to have shifting currents going in multiple directions as the turbulence eddies back and forth around in that area. The most dangerous area to swim in there is just off that tip to the west of baby beach. That little slanted beach there would probably have apparently sheltered waters which would be very close to powerful currents which could jet you off into the carribean current if you strayed too far out. It is probably one of the most dangerous beaches to go swimming at on the island.

Current you show can be hard to swim. I know from fisherman telling young people do not swim in this part.

Yesterday, I go to place where this couple say to be in the water and not a nice place to swim. People go to Baby Beach. It is very close to this place. You can see Baby Beach. So I ask, why go in the sea at this place? A question only.

Also, you can see Rodgers Beach close to refinery. A nice place to swim and not so many people there because tourists think the refinery ugly. Not important. Water calm, sand nice. Look to west and south, nice view.

Very strange to go in the sea over rocks. But, I talk to some people say when they go, the wind very small and no waves. Maybe it look better that day? A question only.

I remember watching this as well

As far as the other fishermen...

One said he saw them on the beach and watched them leave, never saw them again that night

Another report states a fisherman saw them on the beach, drive away and saw GG later that night and GG was drunk

I don't have the links
They are here somewhere, in an older thread

Even if the links are no longer working , there would be statements copied and posted

"Cops were all over him, trying to talk to him, and he would just mumble -- nobody could understand what he was saying," the eyewitness told "Good Morning America."

"One of the police guys told us that he was so drunk that we got to wait, we can't talk to him now," said Silva.

The fisherman claims the pair never went into the ocean and that after they drove off, he did not see them for the rest of the day.

this video is good to watch it shows the ocean and waves in the area.

The witness says he was fishing on a beach on that day and he saw the two take a walk along the reef around 4 p.m., but they never went in the water.

A short time later, the couple drove away and he never saw either of them again, the witness says.
============

Your right as that article mentions a fisherman who saw them leave. It's the same reports about the same guy Mr.Silva..IMO..Granted there were other witnesses who saw them walking,or at the shore or in the restaurant. And even another fisherman..But only this one witness saw them leave the area in a car. And no one saw them in the water. IMO

If they never left in the car and they never went in the water. The only other scenario that makes sense to me is she left in another car or she took a boat ride off the shore or by that nearby pier/dock a couple hundred yards away. Maybe thats why he changed his story about how his shoes and socks got soaking wet? JMHO

This is the link to Mr. Silva's video and there is a second video that follows it with Matt Guttman regarding the fisherman on the boat who he describes as "star" witness. IMO this witness is important because had GG and RG been out in the water and GG started struggling you would think the fisherman would have noticed as he was right there a short distance from where GG claimed they were snorkeling. jmo

This is the video where it states that GG left the search early to "sleep in his hotel".

We had before believed this was something that was misreported because we saw the photos of GG after dark with searchers and police. I don't remember ever seeing this particular video, and hearing this now it seems obvious to me that the police and search team were out there searching all night long into the next day, around the clock, hour after hour. So when they reported that GG left early to go sleep in his hotel, it is referring to GG leaving the search sometime that evening or night, while everyone else stayed to continue their search for Robyn.

This is true but the dark area but it is pretty far out. The same is true at the other end of the island on that tip except in the north it's the open sea at the southern most tip there is only 15 miles to the Venezuela coastline. I've been in the waters off the coast in the north and the water seems to be headed on all different directions, very, very rough. Not a place you want to fall off a boat and into the water. If her body were to get into those currents at Baby Beach it appears LE expected to find her body after about two days floating towards Venezuela. As the S&R person mentioned they knew the approximate location she was last seen in the water. With the latest two drownings both bodies were found. The woman who drowned outside the cove at Baby Beach was recovered immediately and the man who fell from the cliffs near the Natural Pool was recovered the following day when his body came ashore. But in both cases they knew where to look.

The water near the Natural Pool is very rough and you never see anyone swimming on that back side of the island, at least I never have. Those waters also face the open sea so I could see RG going off the cliffs there and possibly her body being carried out to sea. But if S&R concentrated their search effort in only one area trying to find her body it's possible they missed her because GG was lying about where she went into the water. We know he lied about being at Baby Beach the whole time. Is it possible he also lied about the location? IMO he did. jmo

Here's another confirmation from Jonathan, the son of the owner of Big Mamma's Grill (on the beach.) As he and his mother were closing shop that evening, he noticed a lot of police activity in the area.

'Business as usual

by our reporter
Alex Lacle

ORANGE CITY his companion Robyn Gardner (35) last week when snorkeling disappeared. Yet the tourists do not seem to be deterred by the loss. Among the many parked cars are V-cars to see and on the beach include the hotel towels on . Also Jonathan, son of the owner of Big Mamma Grill on the beach, confirms that it is business as usual.

<snip>

A single tourist asks what happened, says Jonathan. Many , however, he can not say. "I did not even notice," he told this newspaper. "Only when I began the evening with my mom went home, and I saw all the police cars." The search for Gardner was in full swing. "I heard the next day that a tourist had drowned, at least that was said." An intense search by coastguards, Warda Nos Costa, police helicopter, fire department and volunteers provided no body on . The active search was called off Saturday, Aug. 6, after her disappearance four days. Meanwhile, her companion tried Giordano on Friday before all of the island to leave. at Reina Beatrix airport, however, he was arrested by Aruban authorities. Jonathan finds it very strange that the body was not found. As prosecutor he also strongly doubt the story of the accused. He says he already has experienced a tourist in the sea at Baby Beach into difficulty or even drowned. The sea may be outside the sheltered lagoon which is very rough and there is often a strong current. "But the body always comes up again and rinse it."

In the transcription area of the web page for that video (as well as in the video itself), it states: "according to the police report obtained by NBC news". Does anyone know if the actual police report has ever been made available for perusal on the Internet? A brief search shows that there are a lot of other references to it (searching with: "Robyn Gardner" "police report"), but the actual report doesn't seem to appear anywhere. Is this something that perhaps some MSM might be willing to divulge? Is it possible that WS credentials might suffice to obtain this report as well?

I don't think any police reports or witness statements have been made public, IMO

Lambchop:I guess I'm more inclined to believe 3 or 4 people who said GG and RG left in their rental car than I am to believe that they were there all the time on the beach as GG has stated.

Lambchop:When it comes to LE I don't think most people would volunteer a statement (and it appears they did all came forward voluntarily) and then lie about it.
====

You stated that 3 to 4 people saw GG and RG leave in the rental car and i am still trying to figure out who else saw this besides Mr.Silva? I think there is confusion on the multiple reports about this same person who many do not name "Mr Silva" Lets please stick to the facts as he is the only person who says this.

Yes he would be a crucial witness if he is indeed telling the truth.

Can you please tell me what you meant by "and then lie about it"? Thank you
