He says - and this may be provable - that a Holland Tourist Brochure AND his attorney from Aruba told him to immediately contact his insurance because he may be liable for the search effort.
So yes. He did contact them. On the advice of the Aruban tourist brochure and his lawyer.
What had at first seemed sinister, now seems like typical procedure.
I don't think that is true. And why would his attorney be thinking this could end up being a criminal case because had she really did just drowned he is not responsible for her actions.... RG is. They could not hold him responsible for that and I doubt a lawyer told him that. Since when would he be reading a Holland Tourist Brochure when his traveling partner is missing. "Let me see, grab that old tourist brochure so I can see what I should do next." I would think asking LE would be what he should have been doing. He was claiming she was dead to the insurance agent without any proof she was, in fact, dead. He was not letting them know she was missing, the agent said he was trying to collect on the policy. Big difference. jmo
