Marly, I'm going to get right under the bridge and photograph where she was found and access. I saw possums photos, which were great, but actually make me think my task won't be as easy as it sounds, paticulary after rain. I also won't go out there alone, so I have to wait for day husband and I can both get away from work and kids are at school.

I remember that, they deleted that one so fast, not many people got a chance to read it, but it was something she saw at the roundabout if I remember, other posters urged her to contact crimestoppers. It could well have been about the bus stop.

Im neither here nor there as to what squizzy did or didnt see or hear and agree that a lot of local talk tends to turn out to be rather exact, anyway, I am undecided as to who may have been seen at the bus stop, Im :fence:

BUT, originally I dismissed it as being NBC straight away. I mean, if he was sitting there in the middle of the night, how the hell would he come up with a reasonable excuse?????? Ill say it again...I DON"T BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCES...and I think seasoned detectives don't believe in coincidences when they are involved in a murder investigation. IMO

so, what could he possibly say that could sound plausible? SFA I reckon..and why hasnt he been interviewed. When I first heard this story, I remember posting that if it was him..it was HUGE info and this case should be wrapped up by now.....if true, there are no other suspects, IMO

Could they have gotten a statement from both of them at the time, & we just never heard about it? Could he be the known poi, and they not have enough proof his son helped? Maybe that's why GBC is so quiet he is protecting the one person he has to ! It's the only reason i can think of him not admitting anything

But, as I mentioned yesterday in relation to your post, I really don't think his words to the Dickies are necessarily contradictory. He last sees her when he goes to bed, he wakes up and she is not there so presumes she has gone for a walk. Starts to worry, perhaps does a drive around, comes back and well and truly time for conference so very worried and calls police. Police arrive and it goes ballistic, rings Dickies and says he thinks she went for a walk and didn't come back. Again, I don't necessarily believe it but I see it as feasible.

Thanks thinky thinkerton, your posts reflects exactly the scenario I put forth and backs up a fairly reasonable explanation for the seemingly contradictary comments, I tried to explain the same thing earlier but youexplained it clearer, great minds think alike !

Absolutely appalling! The reason is flawed and unjust and the connotations are frightening. So its understandable if you kill, if your partner says they are leaving you, and you get the sentence of a lesser crime? Perpetuates the idea that men must have what they want, or else!

This story came weeks ago around the time the police were stopping people at the roundabout, from someone who works in a legal firm and heard people in the know talking about the case saying that an old man had been seen on the CCTV footage sitting at a bus stop and that was why there was so much interest in the roundabout.

To my knowledge this has not been verified by the QPS or the media. But if you have a link, please post it.

Wow I wrote back on page (6...135) of this thread that I saw this same clip and wasn't sure if any one else did. no link no proof as CCTV shut down about 5minutes later But at least I know I didn't imagine it ..moo

GBC lawyering up after his parents home was raided makes more sense to me than him engaging a lawyer on the same day as he reported Allison missing, as we've been led to believe.



So it would seem that TM was interviewed on Wednesday 25 April, five days after Allison was reported missing. Perhaps this is one reason why GBC and OW looked a tad nervous in the video. They were worried that the affair would be discovered by the media and that really wouldn't look good, considering Allison was now missing!



Yesterday being Thursday 26 April. So the house was cordoned off as a crime scene for six days. IMO that is a long time unless there was a lot of evidence to collect.

POLICE are still interviewing friends and family of Allison and Gerard Baden-Clay in their quest to solve the murder of the Brookfield mother of three.
A month after she disappeared, police have made it clear they have a suspect, possibly more than one, but yesterday continued to run out numerous leads as they worked to solve the case.

They have also confirmed they believe Mrs Baden-Clay was killed by someone she knew.

... why didn't he expand a little when informing the Dickies? Like ... I've called everybody I know, I've driven around looking for her, I'm at my wits end ... etc. They are Allison's parents after all. IMO what he said to them leaves a lot to be desired ... and is suspicious!

great thought..I often think GBC is the accomplice not the killer, if he's involved, that is. and as many people say, it is more likely that he would protect family if that were the case. ( I dont get it, if my dad killed my husband/wife, I be in a world of torment and it would show!!)
so to answer your question, yes it does work for me, I think its a fairly good theory
also, he probably has been interviewed, you're right. Its stupid of me to assume to know who has and hasn't been interviewed!!!!

Both parents could have been interviewed while their home was been searched. My problem with your scenario about maybe the father in law being the perp is that I don't see a motive. What would be his motive???

I was blown away when I read about that this morning. One could understand (sickeningly WRONGLY of course) this result happening in India, certainly not the way things are handled here in our society.

One would think Indian women here are treated the same as the rest of us....Im appalled too..

Ok - so the bus shelter closest to the village is visible on the traffic camera. So could there be evidence of this on the footage? Surely footage of an elderly man at bus shelter plus local reporting it was him, would be damning (doesn't prove he did it though).

In that interview.....the word "returned" got to me. Almost like she was an inanimate object....eg I want my book "returned".....I have "returned" the dress to David Jones....Hmmmmmmmmmmm
