Interesting article in that the Dickie family mention that Allison had a very busy day on the Friday (the day following her disappearance). Am thinking of all the possibilities that may be argued - (assume no argument with husband) "have I done all I need to do for next day - oops need to get petrol - then what happened then .... " Get in car, run out of petrol, phone call to hubby - no answer? walk? accidentally hit by another vehicle? cover up?" so many possibilities. I do not envy the police in their job to make sense of all of this.

Well that makes perfect sense to me.

Yes - when asking for links, I was asking for links that would show the husband is a POI (person of interest) or a suspect. Are there any out there?

Maverick provided me with some very good links - thank you very much.

But none of the are saying the husband is suspected. Is there anything in MSM that indicates this?

Thanks guys - we really appreciate your cooperation and are glad you chose Websleuths as the place to follow and discuss this case that appears to be so close to many of you.

Salem

Salem....

Definantly 'INDIRECT' types VIA THE MEDIA.

eg. Media will refer to the deceased mother and father being unable to comprehend, then next sentence will refer to husband as 'not commenting', or "devestated" similar news scene as what occured in florida with the the recent Casey stories, but more direct language coming from Aussie media regarding this.....no one can be mistaken on their insinuations.

Different laws in Australia exist which require Journo's NOT to insinuate or make obvious referrals to a suspect UNLESS they have been requested to do so by the police....

check this news clip Salem....you will see what I mean....

in addition to the above...most people know everyone in Brisbane & Queensland....if they dont know them they know someone who does....you cant do anything or go anywhere without seeing someone you know....not the same here (usa)I must say...

I think I'll head back to another forum I read. As usual WS a bit too strict for me.

I think, for all the new users here, that reading through some of the other threads you will get a sense of what is acceptable phrasing and what is not. Yes, this is a tight ship, but it really allows one to have to think before they post - which, when done right, can help solve cases.

There is a lot of speculation that can be done and shared within the boundaries of the TOS - like I said, read through some of the other threads and get a feel of what's all right and what's not.

And believe me when I say that everyone understands the passion you all have brought here...and appreciate it a lot.

And welcome, big welcome, to all the new posters!

"He (Mr Baden-Clay) just said she went for a walk and she didn't return - that's all he said," Mr Dickie said.

But police confirmed today Mr Baden-Clay has maintained he last saw his wife watching television at their home about 10pm that Thursday night.

I guess he must have changed "his story" when he hired the criminal lawyer.

Gosh - can we please leave the topic of the granny pash! Totally irrelevant! Its in numerous places among the previous threads. Lets not lower ourselves to dwell on this hideous spectacle!

...we have bikkies, street gangs and hoons but there are no known senior citizen gangs out pashing ... hope this helps clear up your concern on this one.

We have gangs of bikkies? That explains why kids cry when they see Iced Vo Vo's :)

Yay! my 1st post :rocker: I've been reading with great interest and busting to post my 2 cents every now and again - finally signed up. woohoo!

A few questions...

What do you think was the 'odd' thing told to the children that morning? I'm thinking perhaps the youngest child was told something along the lines that 'daddy thinks/said mummy's gone to heaven' - probably in a similar sickly soothing kiddy like tone GBC told the reporter 'i'm a little bit hurt but I'm ok'

I'm busting to know what "Shelley" on the QPS facebook page said that was promptly deleted. Anyone catch it? Last time I looked QPS tagged her full name, anyone had the courage to PM her?

On the topic of facebook, I'm fairly sure I've worked out who the mistress is. Seems she's recently become FB friends with a lot of people who work at Suncorp. Recent career change perhaps?

Hanging to know what was found in the back of one of the cars. People have speculated blood. I guess we really wont know until this goes to court.

I notice GBC graduated from USQ. Any ideas when? I studied there from 1997-2000. He's a good 10 years older than me though, so I doubt I would have had any interactions with him. God I hope not!

Seems the tide at the possible time of dumping at the bridge was at it's highest point of 2.3m. (I personally think she was dumped at the bridge, but will accept that perhaps she was dumped further upstream near the scout camp/Bunya Rd and had washed down. Thankfully the body didn't make it into the bullshark territory/bris river). The photos of when the body was retrieved was at Kholo creeks lowest point of tide - about 1m, hence the muddy banks. I don't think the mud is from flood height, it looks fairly permanent and caused by tidal variations. There wasn't much moon on the Thursday night so it's possible he did a u-turn at Bunya Rd (correct me if I have sense of direction wrong, I'm not a local but have had a look at google maps and know the pipes are on one particular side of the bridge) and thrown her body into what he thought was deep enough water.. Not sure if this is the same bridge, but it shows quite a wide expanse of water under the bridge http://www.panoramio.com/photo_expl...hoto_id=10796265&order=date_desc&user=1827401

Anyone know if BoM take Kholo Creek water height readings? I remember reading somewhere there was approx 100mm of in the first few days.

Anyway, I hope u can make sense of my brain dump. as u can most probably tell I've been busting to contribute. :seeya:

"That Friday was a busy day for her. She had a full-day conference in town and the kids were having a sleepover that night, so she would have got all her stuff ready," Mrs Walker said.

The kids were having a sleepover on the Thursday or Friday night?

From the sounds of it, from what I thought when I read it, was that the kids were not going to be home on the Thurs night - because she had a conference on the Friday, by the kids not being there its so she can get everything ready that night, ready for the next day conference.

This makes me speculate that it might have been premeditated.... perhaps the murderer knew that the kids would not be there that night....so perfect timing?

Is this posted on any other site? I am on a Kindle Fire and the linked site doesn't support it. TIA

Not that I know of. Maybe if you go back a bit or search "Granny pash" ...lol
I had to switch from an iPad to laptop to watch.

It's certainly a very telling display. Perfectly timed as he pulls down the garage door. Why would the thought even cross the mothers mind to have to act out to the media, while her son is apparently stricken with grief. If I was in her shoes I'd be in and out of that house, helping my child, accompanying and driving them everywhere, standing by them in media interviews.

I'm starting to think after watching that video, maybe they have more to do with it than previously thought. They are hiding out and on the defensive like they are actually the Perp.

Hi Kailee,
May I ask who you think the mistress is?
I tried to work it out but couldn't.
I also find it interesting he doesnt have his own wife as a Facebook contact.

I read this as Allison had a busy Thursday evening ahead of her.....getting her work stuff ready for the conference and packing overnight bags for the kids to stay out Friday night. Maybe, the Police thought it strange that a woman who went for a morning walk on such a busy day hadn't had the opportunity to do all this yet. Eluding to the possibility that she never got the chance on Thursday evening.
