I find it very disturbing that the perp, now in custody, confessed when he was 16 years old and took police to the whereabouts of Cheryl's body, but the police did not believe him. To think that the Grimmer family have suffered so much for all these years without finding Cheryl's remains and it could have been avoided if the boy had been believed, or at the least, that the police had seriously investigated his confession and revelations at that time. Adds to the tragedy.
