Well spotted

Re: the falcon taxi. On google street view of the accuseds Kewdale home one of the Telstra vehicle was a falcon wagon. Small Telstra decal on the the door that could be easily covered. So he did have access to falcons as well as commodores.

IC - that cross isnt the exact location she was found. She was down amongst trees behind a wire fence. They must have erected it at the roadside simply to be visible from the street

Thanks no name. The fence can be seen clearer in the 2014 version of google maps streetview. Would this be a better approximation of where JR was found?

Is everyone aware that our posts are going on the Web!!

That’s still pretty darn close to the road. I sure didn’t realise that. I thought JR was further in the bushes. The police were right when They said he wanted the body found. 😲

You can just see the horizontal gate in rear of press photo - which you can compare to my pics from both sides of the gate.

I have in the last month had a look about. But I will do a proper ground search when I can regards the Trophy box. It might be at a fav Telephone exchange of BREs. Lots of possibilities hey?

Exchanges have all sorts of hiding spots, the pits they climb down might have places to hide things?

Maybe near his work depot at 138 Kewdale Rd?
Disused building nearby or a water authority storm water pond, where he could visit at lunchtime and after work?

Apparently that pond surrounded by Bush outside BRE's office window is called a "Compensation Basin" by WaterCorp.
Unfortunately it doesn't have any street access nor border any street, so I can't Google up a street view of if. I can see the mandatory ploughed firebreak, but apart from the bloke who's job it is to plough the firebreak each year, it appears from the Google Earth images that this compensation basin doesn't get any other visitors. No evidence of rubbish or worn areas indicating foot tracks at all, but then there's nothing bordering it that anyone would want to walk to or from as in taking a shortcut to anywhere.
Looks like the only vehicle access is via a track running along the old rail line from the railway crossing on Kewdale Rd.
This compensation basin appears to be well off the road.
Does anyone know when Telstra moved from Ewing St Bentley to Kewdale Rd?
I'd be searching that compensation basin and draining the pond if Telstra got there before 1996, and I'd be looking for more than a shoebox if so.

Or died from strange unexplained circumstances.
Or went missing.
Perhaps the possible accomplice went for a day trip on a boat, fishing while wearing concrete boots!
All speculation of course.

Hi ESH - I have been trying to find out about that body that washed up on the beach at Cottesloe. It had to be connected to the fiat belonging to Julie Cutler. There is no information about the identity. Can't find any info re any connection to the car. I would have thought the police would have investigated this. MOO

Would anyone have a name for the man found dead shortly after JCs disappearance? Strange that someone turned up dead after that incident. Perhaps we could find out the suburb where he lived or who attended the funeral. It would be interesting to see what the cemetery records mention or archived in memorial articles within the newspaper.

JC last seen 12.30am leaving Parmelia Hotel, Mill St, Perth - Mon 20 Jun 1988. Fiat car dumped in Ocean at Cottesloe.

JC was aged 22 with brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion - height 162cm (5’3”). Link MP

WC customers often wrote asking the drainage compensating basins get cleaned up. The CBs receive some maintenance but don’t get dredged. They could dredge one in the drier months. Perth Region Canning Vale is responsible for the maintenance. Unfortunately that region is managed by the Programmed Alliance who’s primarily concerned with profit.
Perhaps it would be best for Macro to request the WC dredge the CB.

The Board of Directors could put pressure on certain staff https://www.watercorporation.com.au/about-us/contact-us .

Maybe some telephones?

My thoughts were a telephone exchange. Like a heritage exchange.

I’ll be researching any men who went missing or murdered between October 1994 and 12 February 1995. That’s the period between the attempted abduction involving two perpetrators within the taxi and the single abduction (Rowe Pk) and rape at KK.

Due to the sensitive nature, the information won’t be uploaded onto the forum. Rather sent via private message. Please tick Thanks if you’d like to receive that information.

1994 Oct - Due to attempted abduction woman leapt from speeding taxi, man crouched in back seat tried to abduct her. Princess Rd, Claremont. Victim broke ankle. mandm

1995 Sunday 12 Feb – 17-year-old Abducted in Rowe Park in Gugeri St, taken to KK cemetery (raped). Tied with electrical flex. pressreader

It would be appropriate to request the CB dredging be placed on an asset maintenance register.

I think WAPOL have specialist in their Water Police Branch that can fossick around in lakes. This one looks like a perfect contender for weekend illegal activities, with 2wd access hidden from view and businesses that would be shut over the weekend. IMO. And even more perverse is that the accused can look out the window at it from his work HQ.

Thanks Janwa,

That's how I found the Websleuths website.

I was surprised that a few words took me straight into a list that included a post I made on 09 12 2017 I had just presumed a person would have to go into the website then search.

Perhaps you could start by making a report to Crime Stoppers. Please let me know if you’d like me to draft the email.

The CBs usually have a wire fence with padlocked gates. It’s usually easy to lift a wire fence or cut a void in it. The maintenance crews might be subcontractors and visit to simply mow and wipper-snip and pick up debris. From memory I don’t recall the drainage CBs being on a register for annual or bi-annual inspection - I’m not sure. These are only my thoughts and opinion.

Re: JR site. You have to remember that the road was not bitumen when she was found, it was dirt. The clearing of trees and drainage provisions have changed the site considerably in any photos that have been taken since the road was completed. The best photos to show the actual terrain are those taken whilst forensics where on site (posted many times and available on the web) It was far more dense than any of the recently posted photos show.
