This is a Daily Mail article from July 2023, when "friend" Morton Jensen was charged with Erin's murder.

Mr Gilbert told 9 News on Monday that he was in contact with Mr Jensen on the night of the alleged murder, but didn't hear from him in the following days.

'He was like a brother to me,' Mr Gilbert said.

'I thought it was strange he wasn't coming to see me, he's meant to be my best mate, he just disappeared.

I wondered whatever happened to this case, and just saw on Lawlink that what seems to be the accused appeared in Manly court last week in a matter dated 2024, whereas the murder charge is dated 2023. Have found nothing in the media about it.

The accused is due in Parramatta court next week, regarding the murder charge, for Mention.

Unfortunately the media has not been covering this extremely sad case. It seems that once the case was mentioned in court in July, 2023, there has been no further mention in the media, despite the matter being in court again in September, 2023, and in March and April, 2024.

I attended Parramatta court myself to report on the case today.

Jensen did not appear. No media were present in court.

Magistrate T Khoo presided. Mr Grover appeared as Solicitor for Jensen, and Mr Keevers appeared for the Commissioner of Police. Mr Keevers requested certain information pertaining to the case be suppressed, to which Magistrate Khoo approved after reading the submission.

The parties had not been able to arrange a case conference prior to today, and have now arranged it for 10th October. Hence, todays matters will be adjourned until 31st October 2024, at which time Jensen will appear via AVL.

I asked the solicitors outside of the court about the suppression orders, and it only involved the names of the witnesses that will be called. And some of the information their statements contain. There is no reason why the media has not been reporting on this matter.

So, not much to report unfortunately.

Thank you. Your diligence is appreciated, especially with the media not covering this hearing.
