Kehlet’s outback vanishing act just doesn’t make sense
http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/opi...oesnt-make-sense/story-fnhocuug-1227330762058

"If Raymond Kehlet had been discovered face down on Cottesloe Beach and his wife, Jennie, last seen outside the Indiana, a task force would have been formed before the ink was dry on the front page of the paper. The detectives would still be working around the clock now, some six weeks on from the disappearance.

But alas, the Kehlet’s greatest crime was to run into serious trouble a long way from St George’s Terrace."

I agree, it doesn't make much sense, if she was with him when he fell why did she take all their ropes/chains/etc with her to go get help?
And why did they have a loaded gun in the car?
And why was their quad bike found 500m from camp?

:waitasec:

Why aren't more people talking about this? Such a baffling case.

I agree its a very interesting case. Im going to read up on all the articles now.

Outback mystery: WA Police expand investigation into prospectors Raymond, Jennie Kehlet
http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/wes...nd-jennie-kehlet/story-fnhocxo3-1227337573502
The expanded search, announced on Tuesday, will examine a broader area and revisit previously searched areas “in an effort to find items that may shed light” on Mr Kehlet’s death and Mrs Kehlet’s disappearance.

Good to hear they are still searching. It's all very strange isn't it.
Their poor dog must be missing them.

Outback mystery: Kehlet family doing it tough after Ray’s death, Jennie’s disappearance
http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/wes...es-disappearance/story-fnhocxo3-1227348774152

“Malcolm Kehlet said he could not fault the WA Police effort, which was this week expanded, to investigate the death of his older brother Ray, 47, and disappearance of his wife Jennie, 49.

To be perfectly honest I don’t think there is anyone who has not thought that the circumstances are suspicious,” he said.

“When we speculate and try to come up with a scenario that fits, we can become lost in pointing fingers and fault finding, which will inevitably chew us up from the inside out and won’t really bring any positive result. I would love everyone to keep searching and looking until Jennie is found and all our questions are answered, but the reality is that resources don’t allow this to happen forever.”

Kehlet mystery: Raymond, Jennie Kehlet went prospecting in outback WA with colleague

Video in link of the colleague Graham Milne, who was the last person to see the couple, he was with them at the camp site. It was his prospecting equipment they was using. I had no idea there was someone with them until today.

Jennie Kehlet: Fresh search for missing WA prospector near Sandstone

A fresh search in a remote stretch of the Western Australian outback has been launched as police investigate the death of prospector Raymond Kehlet and the disappearance of his wife.

Major Crime Detective Superintendent Alan Moreton told ABC 702 Mornings program he was convinced someone knew what happened to the couple.

"We're trying to attempt to identify further potential witnesses who were in the Sandstone area in mid to late March," he said.

Missing WA prospector assumed dead

A woman who went missing while prospecting with her husband in Western Australia's Goldfields region four months ago is not expected to be found alive.

"We now believe it's a recovery mission," Major Crime Division Detective Superintendent Alan Morton told reporters on Monday.
Police now say an area to the east warrants investigation.

The expanded search will cover a mobile phone tower, the disused Bell Chambers mine and two areas identified by GPS co-ordinates highlighted in the couple's notebook, which do not correspond to known tracks.
