POLICE believe an unidentified young woman whose remains were found in a NSW forest in 2010 may have lived and worked in the Margaret River area for 10 years.
The woman's remains were found near Daly's Pool in the notorious Belanglo State Forest by trail bike riders on August 29, 2010.
Police now believe the woman may have been a backpacker or worked in a vineyard in Margaret River, and may have been of German or European background.

The woman's remains have been extensively forensically examined and a reconstruction carried out by an anthropologist led police to release an image of what they believe the woman looked like.
It is believed she was aged from 13 to 25 years, and may have died within the last 10 years.
The length of her hair in the sketch is approximately the length it may have been at the time of her death.
A distinctive t-shirt was also located at the site with the word 'Angelic' written on the front.
This t-shirt was available for sale in NSW in the early 2000s.
Anyone who can assist with this investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
