There is no mention of a car, so she seemingly didn't drive away...

Also, I can't find husband's "desperate plea" video - perhaps it's only in the DailyTelegraph link.

She's been gone nearly a week...

Melissa Caddick's victims may finally get some money back

Investigators have sat down with 60 Minutes for the first time and reporter Tom Steinfort said they believe they have found most of the missing millions.
"They have got to the end of it, where she transferred money, what she invested in and what she spent it on," he told Today this morning.

Just to finish up the police divers search info ... they found nothing.

Police divers have combed through thousands of square metres off Dover Heights in a bid to narrow down what may have happened to missing Sydney businesswoman Melissa Caddick.
On Friday, the divers conducted an underwater search spanning 6000 square metres but nothing of interest was found, a police spokesperson said.
“At this stage, police won’t be conducting further searches in the area,” the spokesperson said.

Humble beginnings of designer addicted con artist Melissa Caddick

Lots of info in this article

She would become the managing director of SalesXecution, a self-described “nationally recognised thought leader in the convergence of social media, sales performance and marketing”.

SalesXecution was streets ahead of the humble computer skills of the Grimleys, boasting a decade of “working with emerging internet communication … world class sales and marketing leaders”.

By 2013, however, SaleXecution was retreating into the background in favour of Melissa Caddick’s new company Maliver, a name believed to be based on that of a family member.

Caddick began investing in the shares of small companies, many newly-listed mining and biology firms.

Federal Court documents reveal the Grimleys paid their daughter and sister to invest in shares, but no return had been recorded at the time of Caddick’s disappearance.

The day before the raid, ASIC had taken pre-emptive court action freezing all her bank accounts and issuing orders preventing her from leaving the country.

News Corp should leave the parents & child alone imo unless they want to do an interview.

I read that article last night and thought it was a bit of an invasion of privacy publishing photos of the parents attending computer classes etc.

If I attended one of those events, I would assume it wasn't being filmed. Or were they photos from articles at the time promoting the classes.
To me they looked like they were taken on someone's phone.

Paywalled for me. So “body found”... do they mean foot? Or did I miss news

i have access, its just about the foot title below

Melissa Caddick’s decomposed foot found on NSW south coast
The warrant, issued on Monday, was on behalf of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in relation to several breaches of the Corporations Act.

Police at that stage had not positively identified the remains found in the running shoe by a camper walking along Bournda Beach, about 25km south east of Bega, on Sunday.

Sydney woman opens up about financial meeting with Melissa Caddick
A woman who met with Sydney fraudster Melissa Caddick to discuss investing money with her has revealed how she didn’t go ahead with it because “something felt a little off”.

This is a really interesting article (no doubt the DM will publish the same info tomorrow or later)

Paraphrased ...

They (presumably a couple) went to lunch with Melissa and felt something was off, because they are very familiar with trading, they understand it
The lady thinks that Melissa may have been influenced by a 'larger criminal cartel', and her own theory is that Melissa may have been silenced when ASIC got involved
Her opinion, as she feels she 'knew' Melissa, was that might account for missing money

The lady says that Melissa was not the type to suicide, and she feels that she was not that 'mischievous' or 'particularly ingenious' to come up with the financial scam by herself

Also, when Melissa worked for Wise Financial Services it was in Sydney. She bought a stake in the company. Wise Financial Services no longer exists in Sydney.
At that time (the co-owner says) Melissa legitimately operated under Tandem's AFSL. Tandem was a wholly owned subsidiary of ING.
She also was meticulous, compliant, and had a prior background in share trading when she worked for Wise.

'particularly ingenious' to come up with the financial scam by herself

people have brought up the possibility she was cleaning dirty money

but to do that she needs some way to get that money, if its already in an account its already clean most of the time, accounts have names attached to them.. even trusts and the like

maybe that 5am walk out was a meeting with the mr big... thats a scary thought

growing up in western sydney for most of my life i can tell you from experience its very easy to get caught up with the wrong people.. not saying Melissa did just.. its very easy to get in deep without fully understanding at the time

oh i have to add one of these MOO things... so MOO
