Koletti abandons claim to Caddick millions, faces substantial legal costs

Receivers will seek a costs order against Koletti now that he has fully backed down on his claims for various high valued items totaling nearly $10 million, plus two properties he said were worth $20 million.

On Monday, the court heard Koletti will keep his wedding ring, a watch and two of his wife’s dresses, but not the Gucci wedding dress. The total value is around $20,000.

Caddick's son will relinquish to the receivers items from his $20,000 collection of designer sports shoes.

Caddick’s first husband and her brother have confirmed that around $60,000 in accounts fraudulently created in their names should be turned over to the receivers.

The matter will return to court on December 4.

Melissa Caddick’s son will be allowed to keep half of his sneaker collection, but receivers will sell off the more expensive pairs to help repay the fraudster’s victims.
Melissa Caddick’s husband will be allowed to keep his wedding ring while her son has been permitted to keep half his sneaker collection as receivers attempt to claw back some of the fraudster’s stolen millions, a court has been told.

To the faint amusement of half of Dover Heights, Anthony has thrown the towel in, on the grip-to-the-death matter of what Anthony thinks is fair compensation for his years of marriage to Melissa. Oh well. .. everyone has a point at which towels are thrown in, along with integrity and hope and expectation, and entitlement.. it happens to us all.

‘Complete backing down’:
Anthony Koletti to walk away with handful of luxury goods with other items to be sold and funds returned to investors
Melissa Caddick’s husband has agreed to take a few thousand dollars in luxury goods bought by the dead fraudster as receivers attempt to recoup millions of dollars owed to conned investors.
Caddick, a self-styled financial adviser, lived a life of luxury on the back of about $30m stolen mostly from family and friends via an investment scam.

On Monday, lawyers for the receivers of Caddick’s property told the federal court her husband, Anthony Koletti, no longer claimed ownership over a number of items he said he had either bought or been given.
“There’s been a complete backing down by Mr Koletti of his various claims,” Swaab partner Michael Hayter said.
Under Caddick’s fraudulent scheme, investors believed funds were invested in ASX-listed equities.

( Cynical people. and it is not known how many of those are residing in Dover Heights, might believe that Anthony had absolutely no way of showing the court that the items he claimed, and wrote dreadful rap songs about, recorded and published those painful experiences, venting his rage against NSW cops, were not entirely made up out of thin air in one of Anthony's colourful dreams.. )

Anyone can run out of money. It doesn't mean he's lost faith in his delusions.

A $20,000 sneaker collection! That's enough for a house deposit in some places!

In case the idea I floated that this CADDICK stuff is a silly SYDNEY story has lost it's mojo, it has come to light during the dreadful defamation trial currently underway, bought by Lehhrmann, that none other than Anthony Koletti is Bruce's hairdresser. Small world, ey?

After 6 months on the market, the Grimley apartment at Edgecliff sold for around $4 million, well below the expected range of $5 million to $5.5 million.

The Grimleys were paid almost $1 million to vacate the property in 2023.

Defrauded investors are expected to recoup around 37 to 39 cents in the dollar from the Caddick estate.

Caddick’s Dover Heights house was sold in late 2022 for $9.8 million, and a few months later over 100 possessions were put to auction, fetching about $806,000 over three days.

Remaining to be sold is Caddick’s collection of 30 pairs of high-end sneakers. It’s said that at least one pair from Christian Dior could be valued at $12,000 if in mint condition.

Or Novy Chardon? Or Theo Hayez? I wonder which way the current flows along the coast there.

One alleged sighting of the serial scammer took place at a bar in Seminyak on the island's southern end and was shared on the Melissa Caddick Discussion Group Alive and in Hiding Facebook page.

A woman wrote she had been 'hesitant' to repeat her travelling friend's supposed encounter with Caddick at the restaurant but did so nonetheless.

'She met a lady at Potato Head Beach Club that was a spitting image of her, but she was wearing a long sarong and had a limp,' the woman wrote.

'To me that seems like a high chance it could be MC?'

... but of course the travelling friend completely forgot to take a photo of her.

Missing conwoman Melissa Caddick could be hiding in plain sight as a tourist in Bali, according to a fanciful new theory on the footless fraudster's whereabouts published in New Idea.

Love the way the DM refer to MC as 'the footless fraudster'!
