Anxious wait for news of missing Hervey Bay woman

WAITING for news of his missing sister is a horrific and inescapable daily grind for Mickey Clubb and his partner Nikki Duncan.

The couple have been anxiously waiting for six months for information to explain how and why their loved one, 24-year-old Hervey Bay woman Monique Clubb, never came home.

"The only things we hear are rumours," Ms Duncan said.

Thats dreadfully sad. I really feel for the families that never get closure. It must be like a wound that never closes over.

Family's heartbreak as Monique Clubb still missing after one year

DateJune 21, 2014

It is not how Monique Clubb's family wants to remember her – wild eyed, frightened, desperate.

But grainy CCTV footage and the recollections of a security guard are all Monique Clubb’s family has to hold on to.

The then-24-year-old hasn’t been seen since she frantically fled a Beenleigh shopping centre car park south of Brisbane one year ago today.

Monique was last seen near the Beenleigh Train Station on June 22, 2013. She is 170 cm tall with a slim build, brown eyes and hair, and is of aboriginal appearance.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

MISSING Hervey Bay woman Monique Clubb should have celebrated her 26th birthday with her family on Sunday.

Instead the search for Monique, who was last heard from by her mum Sheena on June 22, 2013, when she was in the Brisbane area, continues.

Her family posted a photo of a new arrival to the Facebook page Help bring Monique Clubb home on Sunday - Monique's aunt and uncle welcomed a baby girl yesterday and named their daughter after Monique, paying homage to their loved one.
