Police are calling for dashcam footage. I guess they are thinking the victim was brought from elsewhere - and maybe have determined an approximate time period for this violence - or perhaps something was seen/heard by a witness near the roadside at a particular time.
Maybe, too, the murderer could have driven alone from elsewhere and parked by the roadside, to 'visit' the park later at night.

No ID yet.

Homicide detectives are yet to identify a woman whose body was found in a Sydney park on Wednesday in highly suspicious circumstances.

...... drivers with potentially relevant dashcam footage have been asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
Still no ID of body found in Sydney park

Google street walk shows houses higher up overlooking the park, I doubt any house cameras would pick up a rego plate but maybe a car colour.

Revolting...and so terribly sad :(

The national emergency that was ignored last week.

...In total, six Australian women were ripped from the world within five days. Six women who had built families and forged careers and fostered friendships, only for their lives to be cut terrifyingly short.

These six deaths are part of our shameful epidemic of gendered violence, and yet we are seeing no national outrage, no pledges to act from our leaders, no fiercely-worded statements.

Can't post the link for some reason - it's from .au

Six women killed in five days, you need to engage with this crisis
By Jane Gilmore

"As I write this, six women have been killed in the last five days. By the time you read it, there could well be more dead women making a small blip in the news cycle, but a blip is all they’ll get. No outpouring of national grief and rage. Just a blip. Compassion fatigue, it’s called, apparently.

Our compassion is fatigued by the daily drain of women being beaten, raped, assaulted, ignored, dismissed, blamed, ridiculed, murdered. How exhausted we all are by the violence women live and die with."
"October 3: A dead woman, bound and collared, was dumped in a park in Sydney. She has not yet been identified and no one has been charged with her murder."

Very sad for this woman and her family.

Nicole Cartwright, whose body was found at Buffalo Creek Reserve, Hunters Hill
"Homicide investigators will address the media on Wednesday to make a public appeal for information, as they try to establish Ms Cartwright's movements in the lead-up to her brutal death.

They have released CCTV footage of Ms Cartwright travelling on a bus between Town Hall and Ashfield on September 28.

Police have confirmed Ms Cartwright lived with her parents at Lansvale, in Sydney's south-west, and had a wide circle of friends, often spending time in Sydney’s CBD, eastern suburbs and surrounds."

A woman whose semi-naked body was found dumped near a playground at a popular suburban park has been identified.

Nicole Cartwright, 32, was found dead by a council worker at Buffalo Creek Reserve in Hunters Hill on Sydney's lower north shore about 7.30am on October 3.

Her hands were bound and she was found with a dog collar around her neck, with drag marks up to 30metres long nearby.

Ms Cartwright's devastated brother Ben shared an emotional message after Ms Cartwright's death was confirmed.

'Rest in peace my little sister. I love you with my all,' he said.

NSW Police Force

“Investigators have been able to place Nicole on buses and at various railway stations between 27 and 30 September, but we are seeking information from then until she was found,” Det Supt Cook said.

“We know that Nicole travelled by train from Bondi Junction to St Marys early on 29 September, and the following afternoon/evening (30 September), we have her at Strathfield, Central, Ashfield and then Museum Railway Stations.

“Nicole had a very distinct style and vibrant personality, so we believe other commuters or members of the community may recall seeing her early last week.”

Further police are keen to speak with any of Nicole’s friends or associates, who she visited during that time and have yet to come forward.

“We’ve been liaising with her family, who last had contact with Nicole on 28 September, when she sent a photo taken at Maroubra,” Det Supt Cook said.

“The last image we have located so far was captured as Nicole exited Museum Railway Station just before 9.15pm on the Sunday (30 September 2018).

“Of particular interest to us is any sightings or contact with Nicole after that time, and we are appealing for those people to contact us as soon as possible.”
