I don't see any Roxy or Fitflops under his name TGY ... I think that may have been advertising that inserted itself into that article ...

Maybe you're right because if I google 'Novy Aristananda Chardon' cheap Louise Vuitton bags etc are in the article. I'm sorry if I'm wrong here. Novy did wear Louis Vuitton & I think she could afford authentic.
Bad TGY!

At one point, Estralita said, the marriage turned so bad that Novy told her she wanted a divorce. She even hired a lawyer to fight for asset division.

She said the family advised Novy to let go of the assets to prevent Chardon’s anger, which may endanger her. However, Novy insisted to fight for the wealth division.

There's the motive..

Quote:
Estralita said she was worried about her daughter’s relationship because not only was Chardon much older, but he had been married four times before.

Quote:
As the business became more successful, Estralita said, the couple’s marriage started to crumble. Estralita claimed Chardon had multiple affairs with other women.

It's a pity that you can't quote things on this site that haven't been reported in the media yet, From my past dealings I would say that the majority of things that people have been speculating/reporting on (like the quotes above) are all highly accurate.

It says to me that this may have been far more premeditated than I first thought. The plan may have been there already, and was quickly thrown into action when Novy 'suddenly' filed for divorce.

I personally think that South Aussie has hit the nail on the head here. JC is a smart man and as others have stated, he believes he is above the law. I too would not be surprised to find out that Novy’s disappearance was premeditated.

If I was to speculate on what happened that evening, I don't believe JC would have carried out any physical harm to Novy herself (That would bring too much likely attention to the neighbours if noises had of come from the house), however I would believe that a nice sedative to knock Novy out (No noise, and no struggling to draw any attention or show any signs of forceful behaviour in the house) could have been used, followed by a call on a pre-paid phone to bring in a "Cleaner" to dispose of Novy and to make sure enough money was paid to ensure that it will take years for the police to discover what really happened (I do wonder if the police ever took this into consideration as a possibility). As for the steamclean hire, I believe that would have been used not so much to remove any blood stains but more likely to remove any evidence if a sedative drug or similar was used and also to remove any evidence of other people being at the house that night. I also believe that the missing items of Novy’s were on that plane with JC so that they would never be recovered again.

This quote from Novyfriend and Ausgirl I also agree with
NOVYFRIEND... I hadn't seen her for two years, so I don't have any useful inside information into the state of their relationship. All I can say is that he used to make me uncomfortable. As you have probably noticed in the media, he has a knack for sounding vulgar - at his son's 5th birthday, the first time I met him, he said some highly inappropriate things to me and also did the same to at least one staff member at his children's kindy. Novy didn't seem like the type to confide in many people about her marriage - I don't think that's their culture, and we weren't close friends, just used to chat at kindy because our kids were friends. She always seemed very happy and bubbly - but it wouldn't surprise me to hear that her home life was less than happy...it's just a vibe you pick up.
AUSGIRL... The OCS involvement has me curious too. Maybe:

- a suggestion was made that Novy was kidnapped for ransom
- Chardon was involved with shady individuals, and he thought this could be some sort of payback
- the cops thought Novy was killed by a hitman
- The OCS has resources they were using in the search for Novy

They have K9, flying squad and international intelligence branches, so maybe they were just enlisted to help out in finding Novy.

But then - a LOT of women go missing in Queensland, and Novy had not been gone that long. Plus her husband is unpleasant so it's not a stretch she simply took off for a while (and I do pray this is what happened...) -- my guess? The cops had a pretty good idea something bad had happened to Novy from the get-go. Or why call in the big guns for a woman who might have just needed some time out? Doesn't make sense in any context but "we already think Novy's met with foul play".

Hoping that the car parts found give enough clues/evidence to start pressuring those involved with her disappearance (Suspected murder) to crack under pressure to come forward with information that makes a clear cut case for justice to be served.

I agree 100% SA and Mr Concerned. I think it's very clear that the home was far from a happy home so Novy took every chance to get far away from it during weekends and school holidays. We know from Novy's Facebook page that she spent most of the long school holiday with her kids far away from that <insert words of own choice here>. JC knew that Novy wouldn't file for divorce while on holiday in Thailand/Indonesia (enjoying a happy life she and her kids couldn't have on Bridie Drive). JC also knew exactly when Novy would be back - right before school term 1 started. He had plenty of time (+motive and opportunity) to plan this very carefully (if one can use that word - don't really like the "care" part of it).
Interesting aspect with that carpet cleaner Mr Concerned - you could be on to something there. I still wonder where that report of a muffled gunshot fits into the story. It would have made a mess and drawn too much unwanted attention - not to mention the kids might wake up.
I also wonder if he REALLY needed a loan to expand his business or to fund the activities I mentioned above as his "hidden qualities".

I wonder if the Police were ever able to run a location detection on the iPhone and/or Samsung tablet using the in built GPS units of these devices?
I doubt they have info from the built in GPS unless Novy had activated the "find my phone" service or installed a similar app but they must know exactly when also pretty much where it was turned off. I can guarantee you they also monitor the IMEI number in case that phone is ever turned on again (with or without SIM).
Regarding WHERE:
Mobile phone triangulation is not something the operators activate only in special cases if they get a warrant. It's an ALWAYS ON feature the police and intelligence agencies can request access to the historical tracking history of.
Lots of interesting reading here (first link is from the search after a missing/deceased person in NSW - although officers misinterpreted the triangulation it does show they have access to the historical logging of the mobile phone triangulation information for a random phone)

Great sleuthing, everyone!!

CANDAN Industries ….. CANDxxx and ANgxxx … of course! Totally on the mark, Good! And extensive planning of Novy’s demise while she and the children were away over the long summer break.

And the hiring of the carpet cleaner, Mr C. Yes, very possibly to remove any fallen hair, lint, particles from a clean-up person, their shoes, a blanket/tarp ……. Novy may not have been murdered inside the house, simply incapacitated through drugs or a massive blow to the head.

Also, I have recently watched a 48 Hours episode (bit of an addict ... loads of episodes on the CBS News site) where a murdering husband drugged the children so they would sleep very heavily on the fateful night.

Makes me wonder if police were crawling all over this case from the get-go as they possibly smelled or detected heavy cleaning agents (including carpet cleaner fluid) throughout the house, and there was an uncanny minimal amount of fingerprints on doorknobs and other surfaces – and perhaps NONE of Novy’s fingerprints in some heavy traffic areas.

Was an incapacitated Novy placed in the back of a ute in the garage, one muffled gunshot, and then taken away? (Plenty of 'garage' murders .. according to 48 Hours :giggle:). Was Novy’s car driven away, and the ute backed out of the garage with its cargo? :(

Another thing I was wondering, was the ute that may have been involved in this crime reported as a stolen vehicle? Then dismantled and buried with other stolen vehicles?

Nah things aren't adding up for me the day of Novy's disappearance.

I can't imagine what was said in that phone call from solicitor to JC with potty mouth and temper in full swing. If it was a volatile conversation, was Novy warned or did JC give a false impression of his calmness.
Is it normal practice for a solicitor to call the husband after a first meeting? I thought contact would be written.
Unless JC was required to leave the home under the separation order and that's why Novy arrived home so late. But would she leave the children with him?

Was Novy leaving to be with someone else?

The legal notification was by email, TGY. And sent when Novy was picking up the children from school, so presumably the presence of the children may have afforded her some 'protection'.

Then Novy left at the children's bedtime, stayed out most of the evening, and only returned when (I think) Chardon would usually have gone to bed and slept heavily ... perhaps from a few too many Jack Daniels-es.

Fatal error - as we know, the wives should never return to the house. But Novy couldn't leave her children, and perhaps he wouldn't let her take them with her earlier.

Novy's friend, Rika, was evidently nervous about Novy returning to the house, but Novy assured her she would be fine. Novy's mum was also fearful of Chardon, and wanted Novy to just take the children and leave it all behind.

Anyone noticed the "My Family" stickers on Novy's car included THREE persons? Two kids and their mum. On the right hand side a sticker from the kids' school. Clearly JC must have known of these special features of the vehicle as well as the beauty business stickers when he spoke to police (and media) from Jakarta. Yet not a word of any special features was mentioned in the initial search after Novy (and the car).

I also wonder what fingerprints they found on the steering wheel - none at all - Novy's - JC's or some of Novy's but clearly with another person wearing gloves using it after Novy?

Just thinking about the significance of those company and product names again ....

Oxenford is also the location of Kopps Road, where Novy's vehicle was sighted after she went missing. Does/did someone close to Chardon, or did Chardon himself, live in Oxenford? Or maybe it is where the business used to be located, before they stopped renting and bought their own business premises? He or others close to him may know the area very well. And it is close to Upper Coomera.

A search will be conducted at Kopps Road at Oxenford today as part of the investigation into missing Upper Coomera woman Novy Chardon.

Inside Story on channel 9 Wednesday nights is a very good show call 'Lethal Lovers'. It's about how & why people murder.

The Minister for Police in QLD has just announced a $250,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the suspected murder of Novy Chardon. There is also an INDEMNITY available for any accomplice who was not directly responsible for Novy's murder and Police urge that (or those) people to come forward immediately - come forward and claim indemnity for your involvement before Police come knocking on your door.

(will look for a msm link)
