Oh I saw the good news just now! How wonderful!!

Wow! Glad he was found. This is very local to me and it took hours for the alert to be issued, I wasn't even aware of it until late last night.

I'm thinking, they knew who the offender was to be able to locate him in another state, around a 3 hour drive away. Unless of course Oliver was able to contact authorities or the abductor did.

As they are still looking for the jeep, the car was not what lead LE to him. So how was he found? Maybe he was able to get someone's attention?

Apparently, the police were given information .....

He said police believed the abduction was premeditated but that they were not ruling anything out.
"We've received information today from other members of the public, which has sort of steered us in that direction, but again we're keeping an open mind," he said.

They thanked the media and the public for their assistance.

What wonderful news that Oliver is found. So happy that this has been mostly resolved fairly quickly. May Oliver's recovery be complete, in time.

Australian police are so annoyingly discreet, aren't they? Mind you, if my family were involved, I would not want it any other way.

We have such strict media laws regarding children. I was looking at them the other day, due to another case.
It is all about protecting the children, and keeping them out of the media ... as much as humanly possible.

Due to that, we frequently do not hear much about the perps of crimes against our children.

The Brits aren't half bad at it either.

They never let anything out to just satisfy the curiosity of people, unless it is going to help in the investigation, even if it isn't a child. I am not being critical of them, at all.

Wow....I just came back to see this great news !
Well done...quickly resolved....but I hope that young Oliver can overcome this trauma with help, time and love. He must have been terrified :(

Who the heck is this 53 year old man, and why??

Connected to the family, but not in a good way? Remember the newsagent's family who were killed by his BIL, jealous of his success?

Could definitely be something family-connected ..... especially as Oliver was abducted pretty much outside his front door.

“It was directly out the front of his residence.”

Det Insp Hogan said there was initially a delay of several hours in alerting the public of the incident because it had been believed it could have been resolved.
“Initially there was some information which appeared that if it had been run out in due course the matter would have been resolved pretty quickly but it didn’t work out that way,” he said.

Boy ‘abducted’ on Gold Coast has been found.

Why would is abducted like this? Is MSM giving us a clue?
Is it a Clayton’s Abduction?
An abduction when your not being abducted?

It could’ve been his uncle Ralph telling him him to get his arse off the streets and go do his homework. Asians can be heavy handed about education.

(Why ruin a good story by telling the truth).

Agree. Doesn't even have to be family, but people who knew them. I imagine his family was doing well, financially, by sending him to a private school or it may have just looked like it to some people.
