I think it more likely was putting the source of gossip and serious unfounded allegations on notice. IMO
Lol on notice for what?
What makes you think he has any authority over what people do or don’t say about him?
The general populace are mob byyhhcc himh is allowed to speculate, people are allowed to relay their own interactions and impressions of a (now) public figure. The age has a whole legal department that would’ve been through the article you’re so het up about with a fine toothed comb.
You act like people have it out for GL - why would they? He’s a disgusting convicted murderer, people don’t like that of course - but note other recent high profile murderers (prime Justin Stein for example) are just as widely disliked, but there aren’t

Of interest is that the interactions and impressions that we are hearing are ALL of a negative nature. I am yet to read or hear of a positive encounter that someone has had with him.

Note he says zero rather than no lies. He’s manipulating

Zero lies in the video played to the jury. Lied to the police in the 14/07 visit and lied during his ROI in November.

The only reason Dann can say that with a straight face is because he managed to get a court ruling to exclude both the 14/07 police visit video and the written statement he gave them and anything that was deemed “prejudicial” in the November ROI.

He’s a lying liar that tells lies.

The family of slain camper Russell Hill face being excluded from providing victim impact statements at a pre-sentence hearing for former Jetstar pilot Greg Lynn

While this is beyond sad for the family, it just may stop any legal appeal against his sentence.

imo

Wish I was as confident as you. Fingers crossed.

If you can be bothered the interlocutory appeal decision sets out how a jury could rely on post offence conduct to arrive at a conviction on murder. It’s a very detailed and broad analysis by the appeals court. And in my opinion unless there’s been a fundamental error of law I can’t see it getting up. Croucher bent over backwards to assist the defence and the only fairness issue he put to the jury was really a technicality. IMO.

The prosecution had 48 witnesses. The defence had one witness, Lynn himself.

There is a very good reason why the defence didn't call any character witnesses. If they had, the prosecution would have been entitled to call rebuttal witnesses and those witnesses would have been able to convey to the jury exactly what type of person they had sitting in front of them in the dock and that's the very last thing Dann and Lynn wanted to happen
Exactly

When you watch the full police interview, at 15.41 which is near the end of the session when Detective
Florence is seeking clarification from GL about the process involved in the skirmish after RH with knife in hand approaches GL and GL explains how RH fell on top of him and ended up stabbing himself (that is RH), Detective Florence then stated "yeah that makes sense". During this whole particular process, Detective Florence is captured on screen and you can tell he is choosing his words very carefully.

A reminder that this is the part of the tape that the jury members requested to re-view.

IMO it was the careful questioning and clarifications made by Detective Florence that enabled the jury members to for their "not guilty" outcome regarding the death of RH.

Below is a image of the moment Detective Florence 'play acts' as he is describing what occurred after GL falls to the ground after RH pushed him and then fell on him and the knife he was holding in his hand stabbed him after he fell oGLtop of GL.1721876034430.png

You could also argue Brett Florence said that incredulously even somewhat sarcastically given the unbelievable story he just heard come out of this guy’s mouth.

To defend against a knife attack in this manner is straight out of an action movie. It’s total BS.

Yes, I agree.

If Brett Florence had have said something like...." You've got to be kidding! Are you lying Greg?"....then it would be interview over.

It was a masterful interview by the two detectives.
