I think Sam may have been wrapped in the carpet for transportation, especially if the primary assault happened in the driveway as possum heard on the news. So I think it was very damaged/soiled.

Do you know if the ground is hard in that forest area, nickers? Just wondering why so shallow, and if the dogs would have found Sam if he was further into the ground. 30cm is very shallow.

I know in Karen Ristevski's case the murderer ended up placing her between logs and concealing her, we think because the ground was too hard in the forest (in Vic). A local told us how hard the ground was.

you could see tyre groves in the track so i didnt think it looked overly hard but in saying that i didnt try to dig there

Because if there is no COD or exact TOD there is nothing to say AD was not called on later for disposal. Under what pretenses I could not speculate. But I have not seen one thing where the police have said AD or his car were at RB's the whole time they say ST died. Why say it about one alleged murderer and not the other?

Just further to the whole driveway thing....what if RB got into a fight with Sam and Sam fell and hit his head on the concrete, leading to his death? Maybe that was the 'accident'......as we've discussed, the behaviour of RB afterward seems to indicate it wasn't necessarily a planned murder.

Ah yes, good point. I forgot about the floor sander!

Maybe they took his body inside so there was more privacy and he bled all over the floorboards. From memory, the pics showed wooden decks at the house as you go in.

But why would he be charged with murder, if he was not a participant? I think it would just have been an interfering with a corpse charge if he showed up later for the clean up.

He said police were continuing to look into whether Mr Thompson's disappearance was linked to an incident in September, where he was assaulted by masked men during a home invasion and had his vehicle stolen.

So who knows? And we don't bring FB info. here, and i do not have access to ST's FB. If you can't link anything from FB then it can't be stated as fact. Maybe ST didn't want to say anything on his FB page because Police to date are still investigating that robbery, it has not to date been resolved.
