A sad, but not unexpected update I guess. It's meant to be a scorcher out there on Friday.

Heartbreaking for his friends and family :(
They need answers.
Where on earth is Sevak...
I hope there are people still keeping an eye out for any clues even though the Official Search has ended.

Police are renewing their appeal for information in the search for a missing Belrose man on the first anniversary of his disappearance.
Sevak Simonian, aged 21, was reported missing on the night of Thursday 23 October 2014.
He was last seen when he left his Belrose home the previous Monday (20 October 2014). His car was found in the Kanangara Walls Road car park on Friday 24 October 2014.
Police from Chifley Local Area Command and Police Rescue commenced a wide-scale search in the Kanangara Boyd National Park near Oberon.
Mr Simonian has previously gone on bushwalks alone in the same National Park.
The operation involved local police and specialist police from the Rescue Squad, Dog Unit, and Police airwing, PolAir, as well as personnel from National Parks and Wildlife Service (NP&WS), NSW Ambulance Paramedics and volunteers from the State Emergency Service (SES), Rural Fire Service (RFS), Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA), and the Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue Squad.
A NP&WS helicopter was also utilised along with specialist vertical rescue teams to search canyons, waterfalls and steep ridges within a three kilometre radius of the car park where Mr Simonian’s vehicle was located. The Westpac Rescue helicopter also provided assistance.
After 18 days, police spoke with Mr Simonian’s family and made the decision to suspend the search, pending further information.
Northern Beaches Detectives investigating his disappearance, under Strike Force Antare, are still appealing for anyone with information about his whereabouts or last known movements to come forward.
Mr Simonian is described as being about 180cm tall, with a thin build, olive skin, short black curly hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Manly Police or Crime Stoppers.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. In my local paper today:

New campaign draws attention to man missing in national park near Oberon

"Sevak. You know him."

Those are the first words in a short story written about a man who is believed to have gone missing in a national park near Oberon in 2014.

Sevak Simonian's story features in a new campaign that aims to bring long-term missing person cases into the spotlight.

INQUEST: Missing busk walker Sevak Simonian.

A BUSH WALKER who went missing in Kanangra-Boyd National Park almost five years ago was known to experiment with the cultivation of cannabis and undertake "guerrilla ops" looking for discreet, off the beaten track areas to grow cannabis in.

But at an inquest into his death before Deputy State Coroner Harriet Grahame found no evidence to suggest Sevak Simonian's disappearance was suspicious or is related to failed business or drug transactions.
