All the hippy druggie types went to the Northern Rivers area - that looks to me as though a lot of law-abiding innocent hardworking people are being generalised as 'hippy druggie types'. Perhaps some stats or MSM to back it up might help.

Also, unsubstantiated allegations and generalisations can do a lot of damage to a lot of innocent people, and I don't think that's fair.

By the way, I'm definitely NOT a JE supporter; very much the opposite, in fact.

SE's home is really terrific. Could this be a reason for her disappearance, with her male friend causing problems for JE.

Wonderful that Police are able to track if phones are TOGETHER or WITHIN a home.

Mr Edwards did not apply for bail which was formally refused.
He did ask the court for access to a doctor for cancer treatment.

Great find sleep! It's strange some articles read word for word but then along comes this small sentence and it puts a whole new light on it.

Cancer? There are so many different degrees of cancer. I remember he had enough strength to paint that huge house only months after Sharon went missing.

A small bay cell carcinoma is slow growing skin cancer. As long as you get it early you'll be fine.

Its the nasty melanomas, if ignored, can be problematic.

There are so many types of cancers JE could be suffering and could the medications warp his thinking that be used in his defence.


Remission on is a wonderful word.

In the low info times it is difficult to think we can make a difference to a case, but by teasing out details and listening to everyones' thoughts and ideas, despite how difficult and annoying, we actually learn a great deal about the case (and ourselves!) This is teamwork and it benefits everyone when we can say that we had a hand in helping out. I know that Alioops and DocWatson would be only to happy to suggest that working together as a team can have amazing results!

I've commented how tanned and thought it was due to sun damage JE could have cancer which originated from skin. Or has his skin yellowing from liver jaundice.
Is that why he moved to Sydney and then to Redcliff to get medical care.

Grafton Base hospital Oncology Haematology Unit and Specialist Centre provides chemotherapy administration but I don't see a radiation section. This link shows Coffs Harbour is the closest. Have I got this right?

How bad are you going to feel when this case is resolved (praying that it does) and John had nothing to do with it and all you lot have been saying absolutely horrible things about him. And the poor bloke has just lost his wife of 33 years and had to deal with the media , and on top of it people who have never met him and have no idea,bad mouthing him online.
Well at least I hope you all feel bad. But probably not , you will probably just move onto the next case and start speculating with no idea.
You should all remember there are 3 boys, a husband, granddaughter, father and a heap of other family and friends that are hurting over this. There is no need to add fuel to the fire.

Thank you sleepinoz for quoting Ejedwards post. Clearly heartbroken about our discussion and found no comfort here, but it's difficult to see the truth when you're too close to it, much easier for us who are onlookers and outsiders.
All those memories that this family shared when the children were young and there was hope and life.
Sharon left JE for reasons her son/s might not know or understand and JE couldn't let her walk away. It's awful when a person can't control the worst of the primal urge to resort to violence.

I can't find the vid but it was ACA catching John painting the house & I didn't see any other cars except his (small truck?) parked in the garage.

I also recall another article stating that the paint would have covered any blood splatter and evidence.

It's taken 2 years to nab John Edwards.
