Here in the states, most of our fast food places and pizza joints stay open later to accommodate the partiers. This is especially true on the weekends. Weird, huh??

No, not weird at all, Suthrnqt. I liked those late night fast food places when I was in the US .. they help sober up a few drunks, and are great for hungry party people. We have places that stay open very late/all night here .. even in sleepy old Adelaide.

You're right .. he could just as easily have been at TOs, as Dominos. (Still wondering what that call was about.)

If he was at Dominos, he'll be on CCTV. If he wasn't at Dominos, he may not have wanted to tell his dad where he was - his dad may not have been fond of his mates, or may have questioned his thinking.

I am more willing to believe that. TO would have been there doing Elvis Karate moves and kicking bins with his mates. Probably needed a man hug.

I think the reasoning behind the Bondi Junction council was they didn't want inebriated people to congregate after drinking or getting kicked out of a pub as there had been a few fights outside one of those pubs. The area tends to be a ghost town late at night and there's nowhere to get food after midnight without going back to the more central suburbs of Sydney or Bondi Beach.

Personally, I think it's terrible.

More than likely. If you are ever in Coolangatta and feel the need for an altercation, just go grab a pie at the coolie pie shop early A.M. It's a given.

Did he even order a pizza? The whole pizza thing stems from the police affidavit where it was reported he called his dad and during the conversation said "I'm at dominos". Not going in to bat for Tostee here, there's just so much misguided information thats coming from MSM it will start making a mockery of the case.

About an hour after a faded female scream is heard on the recordings, police allege Tostee “casually” ordered and ate a “supreme” pizza as they began setting up the crime scene around her body metres below.

This MSM is suggesting he was in his apartment eating pizza an hour after.
I was thinking he was hiding and watching the crime scene unfold from behind some pylons (hero) and then went around the corner to Dominos. I wonder if he came back and watched the scene from across the road.
Like an arsonist who like to watch the brigades and ambulances arrive and gets a kick from the excitement knowing he caused it.

He held her against her will, possibly naked and tied.
She begged to be able to leave. He pushed her onto the balcony.
She obviously escaped through fear.

That has to be murder in my books.

If someone was fleeing in fear of their life and ran in front of a car and died. It's the person that threatened their life that made them flee-is the murderer, yes?

How is this manslaughter??

:silly:

WINDEX PLEASE!

Woo hoo!!! Am pleased with that result!:happydance:

Hello Sleuthers! I'm back - missed you all - have been following the case in msm, but it's just not the same as being on WS!!:loveyou:

Will be interesting to see what the specialists in the past have diagnosed him with......

And thank you so much for the updates, Amee!! As ever, you rock!!

I wonder if he ever was really assessed?

I'm actually surprised that the defence didn't come in with the whole autism issue straight away. I expected them to play that card for all it is worth..........

The lawyer for Tostee honestly seems like a total goose...bad for Tostee, great for society...

ASD isn't something you can tell because they act a certain way. I'm still open to an ASD diagnosis, but equally open to the fact that it's just been used as an excuse.

I'm on the spectrum but it's not easy to tell. I've never quite fit in anywhere, but people just think i'm quiet or odd. My eldest boy is the same as me. My younger son is more classically ASD but is a really friendly kid who got some good early intervention. But then we all have ADHD as well which can skew or overpower some behaviours. I can see some ASD behaviours in Tostee, and wonder whether there's something else like the OCD that's muddied the waters.

Such a sad case, so sad for Warriena's family.

I do wonder how long before that recording started had GT and Warriena met up.
The recording IMO seem manipulated and staged.
What I find really odd is that he tried to phone his lawyer at that early hour of the morning. I am assuming it was not the office number.
Even odder is why did he allegedly record the call to his father.

I am like at Domino's. Dad like this is not my fault.
I didn't cause this like I didn't push her.

quoting sosocurius

"What I find really odd is that he tried to phone his lawyer at that early hour of the morning. I am assuming it was not the office number."

Because Potts lawyers are a specialist criminal law firm, they have someone at call overnight. they list 24 hour service with a mobile number.

For those who were critical of tony kimmins = his role is as a barrister appearing in court. He would not have prepared those affidavits for GT = that was done by the lawyers. GT was not present at court for him to clarify things with. He had to run with what he had been given. Who knows at what late hour Friday he got the material... and if there are "holes" in the material it's not he who can be blamed for explaining them to the judge on such short notice.

Just IMHO there are a lot of lawyer knockers around and I know what it's like to be on that other end.

I was also surprised by the number of posters here, who presumed guilt based on sex.

And, created a fantasy of bondage, male domination, pre-meditation, all based on the LITTLE that we have so far been fed by police reports.

To my mind (and a few earlier posters here) this simply was something that went terribly wrong due to bad decisions by both of these young people. Affected by alcohol, in the wrong place, vulnerable.

Accidents happen. Avoidable tragedies happen. Why do we have to find someone to "blame" when it might simply have been, a combination of bad circumstances.

If it happens to be proved that GT was directly responsible for this dear girl's death, then I would cheer. But I am afraid that he was just a dumb sex/ego driven kid who will probably never even recognise what part he played in her death.

Witnesses living at Avalon Apartments on the Gold Coast describe moment they saw Warriena Wright fall from Gable Tostee’s unit

ONE moment she was above them, the next she was gone.

Horrified neighbours of Gold Coast playboy Gable Tostee have described the moment they saw Warriena Wright fall to her death from his 14th floor apartment.

In documents filed in the Supreme Court, residents living below Tostee’s Avalon Apartments home have described waking to the sounds of furniture crashing, heavy objects being dropped and a woman shouting “no, no, no”.

In an interview with police, Emily Ellis, who lives two floors under Tostee, said she walked out to her balcony after hearing “thudding and scuffling’’ from above

I think the presumed guilt is based on Warriena's great fear, nowvoyager. The witness reports of her screams of fear ... the recorded 'no, no, no, no, no, no' .. the recorded threats of violence .. the holding of Warriena against her will .... I'm speaking for myself, of course.

This is sad to hear. With all due respect, I would hope that anyone who was representing a person charged with murder (or any crime) would fully brief themselves prior to court .. not just relay information that is handed to them. So now he is left looking silly ... whose fault is that? It would not fly in any other occupation, why should it be okay in the legal profession?

Wow..just wow! Im stunned to read that. How horrifying that must have been for the neighbours to witness so much.

I always wondered how much was witnessed, now we know :-(

Did you change your whole post? I don't remember reading or 'liking' this post. :waitasec:
