Thank you Isis. I know we are here to sleuth this out ... but sometimes it almost seems disrespectful to Warriena, doesn't it? Because that night was so not her. So not the beautiful animal-lover who rescued animals, took care of her little sister, was so dearly loved by all of her friends, whose mother is a deacon in the church, the girl who had a very respectable job, enjoyed her sporting activities ...

But that night WAS so Tostee, from everything we have read on the BB forum and heard from the clubs and attempted Tinder contacts.

There is NOTHING wrong with a woman being sexual active, enjoying kinky sex. Nothing wrong with a man doing it either.

You have no proof that this was a 1 off for Warrienna, and NO other women have come out and called Tostee a violent, sociopathic rapist.

People are making up stories to fit what they want to believe.

They are demonising a young man, who, IMO, isn't that different to many other men and certainly not as bad as people are making him out to be.

MANY men (an women) use Tinder for kinky sex. Many men (and women) tape these encounters (I'm not arguing legalities or morality - just stating it how it is).

That doesn't make them *advertiser censored* or sleazes or murderers or psychopaths.

So what if that night was SOOOOO Tostee. I have had LOTS of nights like that. I love tinder. I use tinder.

Difference is I don't drink to excess. I know my limits. I don't let things get out of control.

Regarding Suthrnqt's post above me, I did notice GT was a glutton for punishment on those threads. But it never seemed to phase him. Did anyone else get the impression that he asked for a lot of advice about things that he should have been able to figure out for himself? IMO I don't think he had a grasp on what would be considered socially normal, so he went to his BB forum for a soundboard and took their suggestions. He certainly had no shame and he would post some pretty embarrassing stuff.

I saw a post talking about his bowel movements and wiping habits so I quickly scrolled past it with my eyes closed. Bloke likes to document everything, I was afraid there'd be pictures :puke:


My theory: I'll bet when Warriena's tox report comes back it has ambien in it. GT has asked about Ambien and a few other drugs on his BB forum and there was speculation here that he was trying to make a knock out cocktail. Ambien mixed with bitter vodka moonshine will take you outside of your mind and you can behave totally out of character.

You can have violent reactions. (I don't believe that Warriena'sbehavior that night was typical of her). She probably was in such an agitated and out of her mind state that she didn't even remember or care that the balcony was 14 stories up.

Exactly the opposite conclusion for me. I think he mentioned the other because he knows he's not quite normal but he wants to appear normal so he brings up socially acceptable and more public disorders like OCD and ADD (EVERYONE says they have those, don't they? Like a big joke, haha)...and doesn't bring up the ASD because being on the spectrum is not socially acceptable. OCD and ADD are also associated with treatment via drugs. High-functioning Asp. or ASD get therapy sessions, not drugs, to my knowledge. All his desperation and total cluelessness on how to be accepted by his peers is screaming ASD to me. He seems to think he will find the Magic Formula of Social Acceptance if he just keeps scoping out what the other guys do and trying to emulate it, because he has no natural/innate sense of what is socially appropriate in his peer group :) MOO

My brotherinlaw thinks he's technology genius. He asked me ONCE to see my new iPhone and when he gave it back he'd quickly changed it all. It's a power thing that he can change something close to you to suit him. He only did it once to me and I was instantly a phsyco b*tch.
I found it extremely frustrating and insulting. I went zero to 10 crazy in 2 seconds.

Of course there's nothing wrong with having fun, kinky sex, w/e. I don't believe anyone has said otherwise. I'm a parent of 3 grown children, 2 daughters and a son. They get up to all things wild and wonderful, and I did in my youth too. :) I've done some really stupid things, lucky I'm still alive. *knock on wood*

We're just sharing our opinions on what might have happened that night, we're not here to demonize you or anyone who uses Tinder. Could even be one of my own. JMO

I respect your viewpoint Mariel and I agree that he definitely lacks social understanding and is desperately seeking social acceptance. But I guess I also interpret that as possibly due to deeper emotional issues, rather than ASD (but then, I personally think that ASD is like ADD used to be - overdiagnosed when actually there are other, deeper psychological issues at play. So I come from that perspective.)

And sadly, medication is often prescribed for ASD - for those on all degrees of the spectrum.

Likewise, I respect your opinion, and you should know what you are talking about :) Thanks for your input. I think GT is triggering my ASD sensors because his stunted social skills and the way he is trying to work around them remind me a lot of my ASD kid (who is a completely innocent, sweet, wonderful, loving, but socially clueless person, nothing like this SOB lol). This being about 10 years socially behind actual physical age is soooo familiar.

Stuff can go pear shaped so quickly. Very proud of any young woman who knows some self defense. You can get nail polish now that changes colour when dipped in a spiked drink. Safe travels Aussiegirl.

Hi Mariel :seeya:

You actually probably know FAR more about ASD than me because of your experiences with your own child.

And I want to make it clear that ASD isn't my area of specialisation - I've just come across increasing numbers of children who have been diagnosed as "high-functioning" who really have other issues going on imo - but it's been easier to plonk that label on them. (like they used to do with ADD/ADHD :facepalm:)

These disorders du jour drive me nuts! But your child obviously genuinely does have ASD and doesn't fit that category.

Let's see what comes to pass with Tostee. All is not well with him, that much is obvious, whatever the diagnosis is.
