I suspect the suppression orders were already in place before WT went missing.....Why else did we see nothing of the foster parents even in the earliest reports? Don't tell me there was time when he went missing for someone to quickly impose a suppression order and quickly get all images deleted of the frantic parents searching. I remember one very obscure pic of possibly the FD in the back of an ambulance or police car...nothing else.
A more interesting question to me is why was there such a suppression order in the first place? And, would it not be made public if it was Government imposed?

I agree.. I think that's why the misspelling of his name happened too, it was their way of getting around the red tape in the beginning.
The original police Facebook pots didn't even have a photo, probably because of that.

Maybe the reason for the suppression orders can't be made public because that would give the whole foster care situation away.

Agree the orders were already in place for all foster children in NSW. My point being, although the orders were imposed on WT's parents, from the interviews I have heard, they are in agreement with the orders as it protects other children in their care. An added bonus of the orders is it relieves them of the burden of speculation, gossip and surveilance by their surrounding community and at work. They may well have sought further suppression orders themselves. I do not think suppresion orders made by the govt. would be made public. If a private party sought suppression orders then it would also be silly to have their name made public.

They may not abide by suppression order if they are Free Individuals.

The fact they have been made utterly silent (and respected it) tends to make me think, yet again, that W's parents may well be Government Employees

At what level? The sort of level that perhaps put William at increased risk (maybe they'd had threats?) and the Parents at Increased Silencing.

This is not normal for Australia no matter which way you look at it

Nothing about WT case seems normal, usual, or to be expected

Perhaps it is time to consider the Parental Employment as a potential reason for the Imposed Silence

Perhaps his parents are very high ranking *whatever* that has forced this secrecy

There's a lot we don't know

We know their last name!

Australia is basically a ginormous country town also. People know this family.

There actually IS no protection but there is because the media are respecting it (sort of)

There can only be so many white bread couples in Australia who look like the bottom half of the people we saw on tv, called Tyrrell, ya know?

Unless of course the couple we saw were actors. Quite possible.

There are too many layers to this. Too many fingers in too many pies.

One things for sure > the secrecy is unprecedented

Also interesting to note in that article was a reference to WT's parents reluctance to speak publicly due to his complicated famly history. This article was published in January 2015. I will have to search other articles prior to that time to see the explanations for why they did not speak publicly.

I couldn't edit my last post. this article appeared originally in the Sun Herald and explains that the parents are legally bound to follow this order but would not make themselves known publicly regardless and their reasoning why.

Williams sister knows that Gary Jubelin is a policeman who will find William for her that is what is going to happen.

While the family still hold out hope that William will return home. They have made the decision to not keep his bedroom set up............

To help his sister and themselves cope with the grief health professionals have suggested that we not set up a room for him.......

I don't want to die not knowing. I don't want to be 10 years out and still be in this position.

Shocked. Not Jugdemental. Just shocked. I understand why the parents would do that, as a constant reminder would be just devistating....

But I just wondered why such a decision was really made. Perhaps they know William will NOT be coming back.
