Just read this article again. It has really poor spelling and grammar. It says, "the home, owned by William's grandmother...", Because of the writing of the rest of the article I am assuming the writer did not think to call her "the previous owner." Could it be possible that the FGM still owns the place and is selling now? Also the way the article is written, it would completely put off a potential buyer, attributing the location of the house as to why it was a good target for an abduction. What was this writer thinking?

The Property Report said the house was sold by Private Treaty on 31 October 2014, so I would assume that's the sale by William's GM.

If I were the current owners, I'd be getting in touch with the Aust Press Council about this article 'toot sweet'! Also, I don't think William's family would be too pleased about William's photos used in an article such as this or his name in the title as 'click bait'.

I know I harp on about it often but the Wood Royal Commission is a story that is very dear to me for many reasons, set up to investigate police corruption and later on investigated paedophiles in all areas of law, media, politics and law enforcement. For those who find it strange that a police file from 1987 should go missing....you should read more about how these 'rings' work. This stuff really does go right to the top. This in todays Sydney Morning Herald once again highlighting exactly what the commission found back then and no doubt is still happening today...what I wouldnt give to get my hands on this list:

When it comes down to it, Sydney is really just a town, and everybody has got a little story about this particular cop, pollie, lawyer, judge and the stories have been circulating since the early eighties and they don't change much much. I agree with all of you and especially your suggestion that this subject really needs its own forum, puggs.

It's also very easy for digital information to be lost (ie, 'historically revised'); much the same way as physical files went 'missing' in the pre-internet days.

When I was posting links to our Timeline thread for William, I noticed a great many articles had been 'updated' on certain dates (eg, 4 May 2015 in the case of ABCNews24 online). No explanations for the updates were given. It made me wonder how many other MSM articles have been updated without any reference to the fact. Reminiscent of the 'memory holes' in George Orwell's so-called 'science fiction' novel, '1984'.

Very quiet on this thread. 13+ months and still no closer to finding out if William is coming home safe. No news since AJ's car was seized. Hope this means that DI Jubelin et al are closer to solving the mystery of William's disappearance.

When the part was ordered for washing machine & received by BS.

Whether Bill Spedding was at the school awards.

Whether Margaret has given him a full alibi for that Friday morning.

BS movements following abduction (next few days).

All Bill Spedding's phone records .....can they tell when he picked up FM's voice message that Friday morning?

They also have all forensic results, cars, computers, mattress etc.

I read the rap sheet, bookmarked it and now - pay wall. :banghead:

2008-2010 is identical with the gap, unfortunately - if I remember well. Now I will wait and see, what news will come up.
