Nowhere Child, episode 2: "More than William":

(03:35)
Caroline Overington: William's foster mum began searching the house and the garden. She went out onto Benaroon Drive, where she saw a neighbour, [AMS], who immediately offered to join the search. She got into her mum's car and she drove around for a bit. And she searched on foot as well. And at one point she thought she heard a short sharp scream.

[... FFC's statement about the noise in the reeds near the bus stop...]

Unable to find William, she ran back to the house to get her phone. She was hoping to find a message from the foster father saying something like, 'Hey! What's going on? I've just found William wandering out the front!' - because William was in the habit of looking out for his foster dad's car. And there was a text, but it didn't say 'Hey, I've got William!' It said 'Home in 5'. William's foster dad has told police that he used Siri to send that message, and that's been verified.
The foster mum ran out, onto the driveway, just as the foster dad was pulling in.

BBM.

I noticed that too. I was thinking it must have been a mistake by the podcast?

He must, right, surely??? Going to be interesting to see this play out.

And is this the same person with the wooden box?

It's all odd but I've bolded the bits that I'm finding extra odd this morning about the wooden box guy.

“Police also searched the home of one neighbour, who cannot be named, three times in a period of less than 24 hours.

"We saw a wooden box had been fabricated ... over what we thought would be a window," Senior Constable Rowley's statement reads.

"I saw his television on ... Sky News active with the scrolling story of the missing child William Tyrrell on the screen (it did not move and obviously had been selected)," it continued.

"I asked if I could see his hands and they were spotlessly clean ... I asked if he would mind removing his shirt and he did so and there was nothing on his body worth noting."

Might be a dumb question, but why can this person be named? And others like BS and PS can?

They have mentioned his first name, but not his surname. They've also said he was checked out, so maybe he's not appearing at the inquest.

Why do you think it's a mistake? MFC'er was out in their vehicle at the time.

ETA: Not sure what happened there, but the whole quote didn't come over with my post :confused:

The bolded part is what I'm referring to:

What do talk to a witness about, on the phone, for 1 hour and 17 minutes? Surely he's more than a witness.

Another conversation Mr Jubelin allegedly recorded in May 2018 lasted an hour and 17 minutes, court documents said. An alleged recording the next morning lasted just eight minutes.

Yeah, that is a mightly long chat! Hmmmm.......

Sidenote, imagine getting a call from Jubelin at 10.30pm at night! If it was me, I'd be *advertiser censored* myself! Interested to know why he needed to call him at that time, as in, why couldn't it wait for the next day.

Maybe, PS called him - who knows.

I wouldn't mind a call from him at anytime :)

Because I didn't realise she got in her mum's car before the MFC arrived home? Could be wrong?

Sorry, I'm confused. My post was probably confusing including two different thoughts.

Is it the wooden box guy that you mean checked out?

Yes, I'll find a link for you.

“I can’t think of anyone who would want to harm William. I was asked this question initially by Wendy Hudson (a local police officer) and I suggested (the neighbour) across the road … Wendy assures me that she has checked him out thoroughly,” the foster grandma’s statement, released by the NSW Coroners Court today, reads.

Tyrrell’s foster nan singled out neighbour

In this one, he's been check by the local Police, I'm sure there was something at the Inquest as wel.

Still looking..........

@2cents2
Do you know of any other reports saying that it was FFC's mother's car which FFC drove around in? The podcast was the first I'd heard of that.

I think it's strange that nothing more about the drive was explained in the podcast, and (apparently) nothing more has been explained anywhere else either, other than in the one small excerpt from FFC's police walk-through released to the public.

No, you're right, no other reports of that.

Also, did you think that the podcast seemed to imply that the FFC drove around looking for William before the MFC arrived home? Could just be the way they have worded it and I've got the wrong impression. That's what I thought might be the mistake - that she went for a drive before MFC arrived home. Did she?

Is there something that made you think she went for a drive after MFC came home?

Must just be some brain confusion for me - not based on any evidence - I had always just assumed it was afterwards as not enough time before MFC arrived home.

Did she go driving before he arrived home? Is that her account?

I agree; if FFC searched FGM's house and grounds, alerted AMS and went for a drive in FGM's car all before MFC arrived home at 10:35-36, then William disappeared and was missed earlier than 10:25-30.

I cant help but think if BS was so concerned he hasnt been able to say much..why hasnt he been cleared and why hasnt he put up a fight to be cleared like wooden window box man with owl ( that still bothers me) and as far aps.. she forced the bf into the spotlight and now she helps them..someone has issues there..imo when your one sided you are blind

I agree with you: the podcast does seem to be saying that FFC drove around before MFC got home. It doesn't specifically say they're presenting things in chronological order, so maybe there's room for doubt, but here's the order in which they're mentioned:

FFC:
1. searches the house and garden;
2. meets AMS, who starts searching;
3. gets into FFCM's car and drives around for a bit;
4. searches on foot;
5. hears the short sharp scream;
6. returns to No.48;
7. sees the 'Home in 5' text from MFC;
8. runs out onto the driveway as MFC arrives home.
