i used to think like this but after i saw the case of the guy who wore a full ghillie suit and hide in the bush and abducted and sexually assaulted girls.. i mean i don't discount anything anymore

that case just showed me how random crimes could be
Yes, Sweet CS is a perfect example. I didn't believe that someone really did just slip into the tent un-noticed to steal her and her sleeping back. It sounded unrealistic....and it became even more strange but was true...

It appears to me that FACS let both families down - making promises to FPs without consideration for the BPs.
Yep. And no hope of reuniting LT (and william, who went missing) with her family.

I can't understand for the life of me why, if BM was still considered unsuitable for her elder children to return, that they allowed her 2 younger children (sure, subsequently born after WT was moved to FF) to stay?

Hopefully I worded this correctly.

I hope proper reform happens in NSW (and other states) in light of all this because it's not bloomin' fair.

oh really. .. I wasn’t aware they lost that case.

And, just my very un-professional opinion, but I’d wonder on what basis an adoption could be allowed when bio-parents are alive, have not surrender the children for adoption & the children are minors so cannot have applied for court order to ‘divorce’ their parents.

maybe someone with knowledge of the adoption laws can please advise.

Do they need my consent?

Removing children and young people from their parents' care

Why do you say that? According to the Act, Data Retention laws in Australia require providers to keep data for “at least” two years. They can keep it longer.

It says:
187C
(3) This section does not prevent a service provider from keeping information or a document for a period that is longer than the period provided under this section.

That's if it's requested before the 2 years expires.

The car was sold to an unrelated person. No suggestion at all

The car was sold to an unrelated party. Let's not cast undue aspersions on a family who purchased a second hand car.
Both FCs were asked to not search and to stay at the FGM home. FF ignored their request and searched fire trails desperately.

You have misread both of my posts.

1. The Granny left her car to FFC's niece when she died this year. FGM's granddaughter is overseas but LE collected from someone minding it in the Gymea area.

2. If you read my second post properly you will see that I was referring to FFC's brothers who brought their children up in the area so she would know the area from visits to her brothers and mother over the years.

Blaming her mother!
That is what FFC claimed - that they had not visited her mother since her father died.

However, I am finding it difficult to believe anything which comes out of her mouth. I am open to believing that they could have visited FGM earlier and that is when the photo of WT in his Spider Man suit was taken.

THe Police are believing it as they are searching for remnants of the Spiderman suit.

FFC perhaps describing herself?

FFC seems to have a knack for putting words/images/ideas into peoples heads. Gaslighting in a way. I have a SIL like that who is so full of s#$% that you don't know where the lies and half-truths end and the truth begins.

MOO

My ex was the same, He told so many lies mingled with the truth you couldn't pin point fact from fiction or say you lied because there was always a smattering of truth in those lies. He was quite convincing.

Hey guys, I haven't posted in years but I am always lurking.

I am watching the FP interview with Michael Usher and I just wanted to say that when FM is talking about WT and his 'little Tara' doll around the beginning of the interview (around the 4.20 mark) she starts crying but it seems so fake and forced to me.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

that's a great point! Why show this imagery? It wasn't helpful and there was nothing in the picture to prompt memories? or maybe it was. How far away was the maccas from Kendall? maybe seeing the family as a whole unit might have prompted someone's memory of seeing the family in Kendall (being more localised and the possibility of people at that maccas being in Kendall as the same time as the family)? (possibly JMO MOO IMO).
I think it was a long time for the kids to go without dinner from daycare at 4pm until Raymond Terrace its not the safest area to go after dark thats why I think the last nappy change was odd, very odd to hav done a nappy at a servo not sure if it was open or closed, when the nappy could of been done at mcdonalds, I always wonder was that last nappy ever recovered, if it was me I would of stopped at the maccas on the highway inbatween Sydney and Newcastle, then maby another stop for that nappy, im trying to think and I don't think the Raymond Terrace mcdonalds is on route to Kendall u think you hav to come off the highway unless maby there was a back way to Kendall that they take i might google earth it all

A man who was wrongly targeted by police during the investigation into William Tyrrell’s disappearance has reportedly received a payout of nearly $1 million.

Unfortunately, no money will fix the harm caused to not only him and his family. I can't imagine the stress sustained over an extended period. IMO.

She was approved as a FC in 2011 so that would make her 46? Wonder if there is a cut off on age that the department will want younger children to be adoptable with, you would think once a person gets to a age that adopting young children would be harder because once the children reach 20 yrs old the adoptable parents would be aged maby deceased, could the FF be racing to adopt younger children before to old i know its harder to get a mortgage once at a certain age, she is heading to 60 could she be making one last dash to adopt and everything back fired and somehow domestic violence with the sister has happened

I'm not sure if things have changed in the past 10 years or so, but I personally know a family who are prolific foster carers in NSW (OM awarded too) who were still taking on foster kids in their 70s. They adopted 2 in their late 40s/early 50s.

I agree. Crying should never be mistaken for compassion. IMO.

Yeah I think that the rules are not as strict especially when it comes to fostering disabled kids or FC's with a fantastic track record as being awesome and great. I am not an expert - please correct me if I am wrong :)

Yeah I would think no problem fostering at any age but im wonder if at many over 60 would you be able to adopt a younger child that was in foster care, I see no problems adopting at that age if you know the child and maby a child was left to you in a will, but a child not know to you a foster child would the department hav a cut off age from when you can no longer adopt
