A Silver Alert was issued Sunday for a 16-year-old Peoria boy with autism who didn’t make it home after work more than a week ago.

Bradley Klose was last seen on April 4 at about 4:15 p.m. after he left his workplace near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road.

Klose didn’t have his cellphone with him and his family said it was unusual for him to not come home.

He is considered an endangered juvenile since he is on the spectrum.

Klose was wearing a gray or teal shirt, black pants and black tennis shoes when he was last seen.

He is 6-foot tall, weighs 175 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Family of missing teenager with autism asks for help in search

The family of 16-year-old Bradley Klose is asking for help finding the teenager who has been missing for 11 days and suffers from autism. FOX 10's Lindsey Ragas has the story.

His family has spent every waking hour of every day searching for him.

He was last seen walking out of work where cameras spotted him near the intersection of 75th Avenue and Jomax Road.

"He left his wallet, his cell phone, computer book bag, all in his locker at Fry's," his aunt Terri Spitz said.

"We had a search party last Saturday that had over 100 people just combing the desert, going to all of these houses with fliers, trying to get ring footage."

Oh no. Why did a teenager leave work without his belongings? Hopefully he met up with a harmless person and is just hanging out, or he wanted time alone and just didn't want to be tracked. But he even left his wallet behind.

Peoria police announced the remains of Bradley Klose were found at the mountain range near 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

Peoria police announced the remains of Bradley Klose were found at the mountain range near 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

No foul play suspected. Though, what could have led Bradley to that mountain range?

To provide some context since I'm a local and have hiked a lot in that area, including Deems Hill, which is where he was apparently actually found (see next post):

The intersections given in most articles are Happy Valley Rd & 67th Ave, but articles with better sources are indicating Deems Hill (which actually makes more sense)

For context, Happy Valley Rd is a major road, though it does run along some hills and mountains at various points (a lot more directly off Happy Valley near about 83 Ave - 92nd Ave or so where Sunrise Mountain is). That is a VERY large intersection with major businesses on 3 of the four corners (NE, SE, SW) and residences on the NW corner.

That intersection has grocery stores, drug stores, lots of restaurants, and the main campus to one of the largest and most widely known churches in the greater Phoenix area (CCV)

That intersection would have been a really easy/natural place for Bradley to have gotten to on foot after leaving his workplace (his last known location) as it's under 2 miles and basically a straight shot from Happy Valley Rd & Lake Pleasant Parkway where he had been.

Most things now are saying the remains were actually found on the outskirts of Deems Hill, which would be a little further north-east of that intersection.

Witnesses reported finding the remains around 7:15 a.m. Monday on a remote mountain area at the Deem Hills Recreation Area.

Missing Peoria teen found dead on Phoenix mountain

Human remains found on a Phoenix mountain earlier this week have been identified as a missing Peoria teen, authorities announced.

Deems Hill, where he was found is a very popular hiking area but like all our open space preserves and hiking areas, the areas are large and there are places where it's easy to go off trail or really get yourself into trouble unfortunately.

Another article on KTAR (AZ radio station) from before they were ID'd as Bradley says a little more:

“When officers arrived, they were told by a witness they believed there were human remains on a remote area on a mountain. Several resources were used to locate and direct investigators to the area of the found remains,” Sgt. Phil Krynsky said in a media advisory.
