"looks to me that FN is ''out'' until next court appearance Dec 1/14"
Nope....just checked the inmate list and shes still there.

snipped from my post

''IT IS ORDERED directing both counsel comply with the disclosure requirements of Rule 15.
The Court admonishes the Defendant and advises her of the disclosure process and advises her that her failure to appear at any further hearing will result in the issuance of a bench warrant.''

I took that to mean she was released until her next court date.....KWIM?

Maybe something happened and she had to stay in jail?

She probably cant come up with bail. I noticed NF is still in jail too, and I thought she was sentenced to time served.

Sue Winchester, Bella’s grandmother said in a telephone interview Monday that she was advised of the decision last week during a conversation on unrelated issues with Capt. Tad Appleby, of the Bullhead City Police Department. “I couldn’t believe it,” Winchester said.

Winchester added that Appleby reportedly told her the prosecutor’s office “had refused to pursue the charges.” Multiple calls to Matthew Smith’s office for comment were not returned, nor by Capt. Appleby.

KINGMAN, AZ - Mohave County prosecutors are asking a court to decide whether to grant a news reporter's request for release of autopsy records and photos of an 8-year-old homicide victim.

http://www.abc15.com/news/region-no...rt-asked-to-decide-on-release-of-autopsy-info

And...

Grogan knew both adults and neither Rector nor Nicholson had any history of assaulting or hurting children even when using drugs.

“Indeed it is likely Bella and her sister were often in the company of adults using drugs, a circumstance of horrible parenting, but not a felony offense in itself,” the county attorney’s office report stated. “It was unforeseeable that Rector would harm and kill Bella during the time Grogan and Folster went to the store.”

http://www.mohavedailynews.com/news...cle_ac5e62ac-7544-11e4-bdd4-7b8ad6bd2d6d.html

 So leaving your child with a violent offender with a criminal history and who is known for meth abuse, who spent the day in your house smoking meth is considered "horrible parenting." Putting your child in the company of adults using drugs on a regular basis is "horrible parenting."

But it's not child endangerment?

That Rector had a history of assaulting adults but not children made it "unforseeable" to the mother and stepfather - who were responsible for the well-being of the kids in that house - that he would harm and kill Bella. Innocence by reason of stupidity?

I can only hope there's something else bubbling in the investigation that we're not aware of that will eventually explain this decision.

Sorry - I'm just really, really angry...

Isabella grogan-Cannella case update: Court asked to decide on release of autopsy info

KINGMAN, AZ - Mohave County prosecutors are asking a court to decide whether to grant a news reporter's request for release of autopsy records and photos of an 8-year-old homicide victim.

The prosecutors' court filing Wednesday took no position on releasing the autopsy report for Isabella "Bella" Grogan-Cannella of Bullhead City , but opposed releasing photos of the girl's unclothed body.

God bless little Isabella. I honestly see no reason for the media to have access to these images. FCOL, have some respect for the victim. In addition, why take any chances with something that the defense could potentially make the argument on future appeal (contamination of jury pool, etc).

I realize the media represents the People's "right to know" but that should not be limitless.

I've posted many times regarding the lack of a mandated Victim's Bill of Rights. Defendants have unalienable Constitutional rights throughout the adjudication process. Until we mandate rights for crime victims in all states (especially for child victims), the inherent imbalance in the process ends up being litigated on a case by case basis. If this petition is granted, we will be trusting the media to use the images properly. SMH! It leaves room for error. Victims and their families deserve better. :furious:

I hope the Court rules against this motion. Isabella, her memory, and her family, deserve to be protected. :please:

:rose:

As much as this is ''sad/bad'' news -- I am encouraged that the PT is ''digging deeper'' with the medical professionals. It could be she had some infection etc that may have gone undetected or perhaps there is a history of ''s/a'' in this case too.

Warning Graphic!

Greg McPhillips' confusion has me a little confused. He said the autopsy showed "significant" vaginal injuries but he wonders how the ME reached that conclusion. Then he goes on to say that in his eyes there may be more to the report.

My understanding is that hemorrhaging of the vaginal wall implies trauma and is most commonly associated with some sort of penetration, whether accidental or in molestation cases, intentional - even in the presence of infection, hormone deficiencies, polyps, etc., especially in children. Combine that with other genital injuries and it seems to me like an assault occurred.

Is he merely speculating until the DNA results come in or is he suggesting there may be more to the whole story?

bbm: this would be my ''gut reaction'' after reading the information BUT in order to keep things ''accurate'' they need a complete picture of her ''health'' in that area ((i.e. pre/post mortem & general health )) especially if they want a conviction they don't want any ''confusion" on whether damage occurred previously ((long before her final day)) JMO

I can't believe they even requested the photos..:(

First, I don't think this "breaking news" surprises any of us that have followed this case. I think almost all of us suspected there was a pervert in the midst of this poor little girl's world.

Second, and I'm just guessing here, but from what I've read, some people in the journalistic world submit crime scene photos to experts to get second and third opinions on such things like "how could this have happened?" "what kind of weapon caused this kind of damage?" etc. It's not that they want to see the photos themselves (most admit they don't) it's that they want a fresh set of expert eyes to give an opinion - and - they have no intention of ever publishing them at all.

Third, that's SOME journalists. Others are just creeps and sell stuff like this to the highest bidder and and they end up on sites that have galleries full of "high profile" crime scene photos like Ed Gein, Gacy, Dahmer, etc.

So, just a few thoughts on that aspect.

Absolutely correct. I can attest to being one of those journalists that have requested crime scene photos, and each time it was to solicit independent opinions. It is horrific to view, but sadly part of the job.

Judge to decide whether autopsy results should be public - concern whether or not J would get a fair trial if records released. He has not been charged with sexual assault.

http://kdminer.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=1&ArticleID=63938

He's due in court tomorrow

''He will be back in court on Tuesday. Jantzen will likely discuss the examination and the request to make public Grogan-Cannella's autopsy results. Jantzen has postponed any decision on whether Rector can represent himself.''

oh yes and TG is ''scheduled'' to be in court today
