This case feels like one of those that "we will never know".
I can truly sense her mother's frustration and assuming foul play.
But, will LE put in much effort to find out more?

I also can empathize with the mother as my first thought was not self harm with her being found so far away from home in a remote area. I would assume that someone knows the COD and that will either lead an investigation or eventually lead to an acceptance of the tragic outcome. MOO

“She was doing really well in her job here,” Marks said. “She was happy; she was probably the happiest I’d seen in a long time. She’s not in any type of relationship either.”

“She loved to hike, and she was one to work out almost every day,” Marks said. “(She’s) in really good shape. Our HOA gym was closed on Easter.”

“There’s nothing; she wasn’t communicating with anyone during the last couple of days,” Marks said. “It wasn’t like she went to meet someone or anything.”

“She would never drive that far,” Marks said.

“She had all of her stuff ready for work on Monday,” Marks said. “She left her wallet full of credit cards. She didn’t carry her credit cards all the time, but she left her phone charger. She wasn’t planning on being alone.”

“She hasn’t been gone overnight in over a year,” Marks said. “She knows I’d worry. Sometimes she would work overtime and if she’s not home at a certain time I’ll text her, and she’ll say, ‘Mom, I was just working overtime.’”

“Maybe she went out to hike, something happened, and they took her car and they took her phone. I don’t know,” she said. “What I assume is some kind of foul play.”

Missing Goodyear woman found dead

Jessica White, a 34-year-old woman living in the community of Estrella Mountain Ranch in Goodyear who went missing on Easter was found dead on April 16.

Goodyear police said the Navajo County Sheriff's Office found White's body. Her cause of death has not yet been released.

NCSO said the case has been turned over to Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit and there is no threat to the community.

I know she had moved back in with her mom, but I don't think it was made clear as to why, but I probably should go back and check.

But usually, we just never hear another things on cases like this, unless LE sees something that is specific enough to declare homicide. (Debbie Collier case became SUCH a big deal because of that). So my guess is still the same "that we will hear nothing".... leading to just assume self harm. moo.

They were from San Marcos, CA - Arizona cost of living is much lower. After her husband died, it was a prudent move - IMO.
Jessica held jobs that were likely around minimum wage from what I found - all JMO.
