I have tried following Jhessye's case but become overwhelmed at times so I apologize in advance if this question has been asked--but has LE taken a cadaver dog into the apartment yet?
Jhessye's last day at school was September 22nd. She was reported missing October 11th.
Jhessye's sibling described Jerice coming home and finding Jhessye watching TV with a neighbor boy. She called our sweet little one a "ho", then dragged her into the bedroom and abused her. Since Jhessye did not attend school on Friday, September 23rd, I think this assault occurred on Thursday night.
That is 18 days between the initial assault and the day Jerice called police. IIRC the sibling, on a least one occasion (maybe more I need to look back at the report), she took Jhessye from the closet while Jerice was gone and gave her food and water.
I have many questions about this. Was Jhessye able to walk, did they discuss what was going on? Was J begging her to get help or to call the police? I haven't voiced these questions because they are painful to even consider and I don't want to seem as if I am questioning the actions of the siblings. They are completely blameless in all this and are victims too.
Have any of you ever wondered what it was Jerice said to the other children to keep them from telling anyone Jhessye was in that closet? I shudder to think how they dealt with that. I also wonder if any of the other children missed a lot of school during this period? Did teachers notice anything unusual in their behavior?
Those are all very good questions.
The abuse and isolation and pain that Jhessye endured, plus the trauma her situation caused to the other children.....I can't stand to think about it. Those poor helpless, innocent children were trapped in a nightmare.
This case is so awful. It keeps me up at night.Jerice.....LE is coming for YOU!
Jhessye, you are not forgotten.
Even if they are 100 million percent certain that Jhessye's body isn't in the landfill, I still think they should have done a comprehensive search. They might have found blankets, bedding or other evidence with Jhessye's DNA. Or who knows, maybe they would have found something incriminating written by Jerice. But we will never know because Glendale PD decided to abandon the search.

No Marc Klaas, Jhessye did not fall off the face of the earth. Nor was she abducted from a closet in her home by a stranger."We only know two things for certain. Jahessye Shockley did not fall of the face of the earth, and her mother should never have been allowed to regain custody of her children."

The sad truth is, she was killed by someone who should have loved and cherished her.
What was it that made you choose Jhessye to abuse Jerice? Was she constantly asking for her Auntie's? Did she tell you she wanted to go "Home"? Or was it her bright, happy spirit that you could not break. Did you see that light in her eyes, resent it? Were you angry with those who loved Jhessye for reporting you to CPS? Was it like Deja vu? Incredibly stupid of you I must say. With a record like yours, did you think the truth wouldn't be apparent? You knew once the older girls were taken from you, that they would tell the truth. That crap you spouted about telling CPS how to get your daughter to eat? She couldn't eat because she was traumatized by what you did to Jhessye. But you knew that didn't you?
The best part is, you'll never be able to bring another child into this world and hurt them. Where is she Jerice, where is Jhessye?
