I can't imagine why he would do that after all these convictions and facing the death penalty. Sounds like he's just ready for whatever happens and knows nothing anyone says will change things.
he gave a 7 minute statement to the jury, will try to find out what he said but anyone following this case will realise that there has been scant reporting on the trial, which to me is disgraceful considering the amount of living and dead victims
so although he is still professing his innocence outside the presence of the jury he was smart enough not to do so in front of the jury as he would be saying there verdicts were wrong, and they are the ones who have his fate in there hands
