YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — Two men are facing criminal charges for their alleged involvement in the death of
Shayna Feinman, a 35-year-old woman who disappeared in Arizona earlier this year.
Feinman was reported missing in March 2024 after she failed to pick up her dog from a neighbor's house. The neighbor located Feinman's car not far from the property where Feinman and her boyfriend were living.
Feinman was living in the Hyde Park area between Peach Springs and Seligman. Her sister said she's originally from New York but moved to Arizona a couple of years ago due to her love for camping and being in nature.
"Out there, you know, it's not quite the city hustle and bustle life. And so that's what she was drawn to," said Kara Feinman, Shayna Feinman's sister, during a March interview.
Kara Feinman told 12News her sister had left the property where she lived after getting into an argument with the property owner. Her sister said on more than one occasion, Shayna Feinman had opened up with close friends about being fearful for her safety.
Investigators previously said the people last seen with Feinman, including her boyfriend and the property owner, were not cooperating with the investigation.
"It's suspicious if you're not cooperating and somebody is missing and you are one of the last people to see you who see her, wouldn't you want to find out what happened? Wouldn't you want to help find her, especially if you were seeing her and that was your partner, and I don't know, it's just it's really hard. It's really hard because they're probably some of the only people that might have answers," Kara Feinman said during a May interview.
Feinman's body has yet to be found but officials said they have developed enough probable cause to file murder charges against two suspects.
Cavett Richards, the woman's boyfriend, is now facing charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy and concealing a dead body, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Shayna Feinman's boyfriend and the property owner where they lived are facing murder charges. The woman has still not been found.
