I wonder if the question is specific enough. I wonder how many of the voters simply believe selling the story at all is a desecration of Caylee, kwim?

I see reports all the time of people (celebs) who have been paid an advance in order to start writing their biography. I'm not sure if that's much different to what Mr Schober is doing, only his intention is somewhat different.

Maybe the trustee can use this?

Wasn't Amanda Knox paid in advance for her novel to be written?
I would think there would usually be a contract where some of the money would be paid up front and the rest when the book is actually published? If she failed to write the book, they may try to get their money back.
But, in this case of bankrupcty, no one cares about the book or a contract and the bidder is willing to forgo his own money to keep FCA from getting any.

Sorry I was just razzing you - I could see that was a slip and not "your style".
Yes I keep peeking in on the same trials - I wonder what the deal is with the 4th who will be tried separately - maybe did some pre-trial testimony that helped build a case about the other three.

What on earth were the RCMP thinking in the case of this poor teen who recently committed suicide? Incredible!

I am also watching the Alberta case of the mother who tossed two babies in the dumpster, and probably a (first) third. The second one she says she didn't check the sex of the child or whether or not it was breathing when she threw it away.
For those who don't know of the case, the last baby was heard crying by someone walking past the dumpster and the baby was rescued. You have heard of cases where the truth is stranger than fiction - the rescuer was the child's father who didn't realize the girl friend was even pregnant. :what:

I would think so..especially since the Accused are minors...Social media plays a large part of the Crowns evidence...

There is very little on the news about it...they just highlight the evidence presented that day...there has been more coverage on last nights Team Canada VS Team USA hockey game, the Daycare shooting in Gatineau last Friday (NO children harmed) and Oprah who is here tonight giving a speech/lecture than the heinous crimes and trial of these teenagers...then again they are being tried as Juveniles and are protected under the Young Offenders Act.

But could it be that former client Casey Anthony wants some attention? The National Enquirer said it has had an exclusive preview of a tell-all from Anthony in which she will disclose what happened to daughter Caylee, name the child’s father and discuss her infatuation with defense attorney Baez.

The Enquirer even quotes Anthony: “This will not be your average kiss-and-tell story.”

Casey doesn’t do average. Are you surprised she’s giving interviews?
Back to the Enquirer report: Has she really written a book? Or is this just an attempt to upstage Baez?
We always seem to get an Anthony comment when someone else in this long-running saga is making news. Casey, it seems, doesn’t like to be upstaged.

Isn't it usually like that in our system though? Not the same as in the States where we get to hear every word uttered in the courtroom. Just snippets until the end of the trial. And I think you are right - because they are all juveniles there is less information out there.

What really shocked me about this case is these girls apparently conceived and managed this without the help of any adults. Scary!

Casey's total and complete disregard for Caylee the day she died and onward is not of one who was Beloved by her mother IMO quite the contrary.

A mother would call 911 to get emergency medical aid for her beloved child
A beloved child would not be found triple bagged and thrown in a swamp
A mother would not lie to LE, family and friends who were trying desperately to find her beloved child
A mother would not go directly to rent movies to watch with her boyfriend then into her boyfriends bed almost immediately following the tragic death of her beloved child

why do I think that? because I have 3 beloved children

RBBM, ThinkTank. St Martin's Press was the same company that published Dr Keith Ablow's book about Casey back in 2011. Did they get burned and won't touch her again or is someone trying to game the system by confusing old public information?

I personally believe Mr. Schober's motives are honorable.
Too bad the bankruptcy judge does not see it the same way.

The lawyer for the bankruptcy attorney revealed there are three people interested in acquiring the rights to Anthony's story.

One of the people, who bid $10,000 for the story, testified in court via phone and issued a statement.

Austin, Texas, attorney Jim Schober said there are three reasons he wants to buy the rights to Anthony's story.

"(First)... to demonstrate that the asset has present value;
second, to ensure that the proceeds from the sale of the asset are applied to the payment of her existing debts (which is a basic premise of Chapter 7 bankruptcy); and third, to ensure that the sale of the asset takes place in the clear light of day," he said.
