FAMILY OF ADRIANA MORALES DOES NOT CONFIRM THAT THE REMAINS ARE HERS

Until this Monday the relatives of the student of the University of Puebla (BUAP) who disappeared on the island Bonaire have not confirmed that the body of the woman found in that place, corresponds to the one of the student of the BUAP, Adriana Morales de Florencio.
Relatives have asked the media to wait for the necessary tests to be made by the authorities. They trust that it is not her, but neither do they rule it out.

It is worth remembering that Caribbean media reported that a recent grave was found on Playa Grande on Saturday night, and when the human remains were removed, there was similarity to that of the Mexican woman who has disappeared since last April 20.
Until the body is confirmed to be that of Adriana, the search will continue. However, Caribbean media with first-hand information, assure that there are similarities that point to the body of Adriana, 23 years old and originally from Atlixco.
What has been confirmed is that a man was arrested, allegedly with whom Adriana was seen last, this person is the one who would have given details about the grave.
It should be noted that the young woman disappeared on 20 April in the port of Kralendijk. She worked for the Royal Caribbean Company.

Not sure i understand the bolded

Is the family saying they do not believe it is her?
I wonder why?

They must be heartbroken

Awww, her poor family. I know it's not official yet, but it sounds like authorities are pretty sure it's her. They must be so broken and in denial. This is really sad.

PARENTS WILL TRAVEL TO BONAIRE

E-Consulta.com
http://www.e-consulta.com/nota/2017...-podria-ser-de-alumna-de-la-buap-desaparecida

This Sunday, the parents of Adriana Morales de Florencio, the student of the BUAP who disappeared in Bonaire while working on a cruise ship, will travel from Venezuela to that island after a corpse was found with characteristics similar to that of the young woman. In relation with this discovery one person has been detained.

A pair of tattoos on the right arm and shoulder are the main indications that make local authorities in Bonaire think that it is the 23-year-old woman from Puebla, but it will be the parents who confirm her identity, according to the portal Live99 FM.

Adriana's brother reported that their parents would travel on Sunday to the Dutch island to talk to local authorities and find out if the body belongs to Adriana, as is speculated.

The same source says that a person with initials R. S. is detained by the authorities for an alleged link with the murder of the woman found in a spot in the area known as Playa Grande in Bonaire.

In addition, as part of the proceedings a vehicle and a firearm have been secured. These are the only details that are known of the case as the conditions in which this body was found have not been made public.

In this way it will be the parents of Adriana who confirm on a later moment if both cases are related in order to initiate the corresponding procedures, either for repatriation or to continue with their search.

REMAINS FOUN ON BONAIRE ISLAND, PROBABLY THOSE OF MISSING STUDENT

Diario Cambio
http://www.diariocambio.com.mx/2017...-analizan-si-es-de-la-estudiante-desaparecida

The remains of 23-year-old BUAP student Adriana Morales de Florencio were found on a farm that her alleged murderer known as 'RS' was renting in the area known as Playa Grande on Bonaire Island.

Although there is still no official notice on the part of the authorities of the island, through a local media - Live99 FM - a letter was released in which the father of the alleged murderer apologized to the parents of the young woman from Puebla. The parents of the young woman remain on the island in the quest to identify their daughter.

In addition, on behalf of the family of the man who was arrested for allegedly being responsible, the father assured that they were in shock because of what their son would have done.

The body of a woman with characteristics similar to those of Adriana was found last Saturday in a shallow grave on a property rented by the alleged murderer in the Don Antonio area. Three days went by until Live99FM could confirm that the body found was that of the young woman from Atlixco

In an interview with CAMBIO, Karina Tapia, sister of Adriana, said that the parents of the student had not been able to identify the body because the coroner had not finished the autopsy so until the closing of this edition nothing has been confirmed.

Another version that has transcended is that due to the state of decomposition of the body, the identification had not been possible since the tattoo in the form of a rose that she had on the left side of the clavicle was no longer distinguishable

On April 20, Adriana Morales de Florencio was last seen, when she embarked from the cruise ship on which she worked for the company Cruceros Caribean. After this, the only clue that helped the island authorities find the young student was a video taken from a business where the alleged murderer is shown talking on the cell phone with the student on his side.

This Tuesday a silent walk is scheduled, as well as a mass on Bonaire island, with the aim to send condolences to the family.

AUTOPSY: ADRIANA MORALES WAS STABBED TO DEATH WITH A KNIFE

BonaireNieuws
http://www.bonaire.nu/2017/05/02/sectie-toont-aan-adriana-morales-messteken-om-leven-gebracht/

Adriana Morales, who was found dead last weekend in a field outside Kralendijk, was killed by knife stabbings. This was the information received this morning on the police station of Kralendijk by the gathered press.

Other than that, much remains unclear in the case of the murdered employee of the cruise ship Navigator of the Seas.

Head of the detective department Alvin Braaf gave an overview to the press about the case on which no less than 25 inspectors were working. Some of them were deployed more than 16 hours a day to find the missing Morales. In the end, it was the intelligent investigation that led the police to Morales' temporary burial ground.

"Contrary to what is said in social media, it is not the detained suspect who led us to Morales' body," said Jose Rosales, chief executive officer. According to Rosales, it was purely investigative work, in which the Police Corps of the Caribbean Netherlands (KPCN), through its knowledge of society, put together the pieces of the puzzle.

Chief Officer Henry Hambeukers could not answer the question when Morales was murdered: immediately after her disappearance or at a later date. "You know our climate," Hambeukers said. He indicated that Morales was found in the open air and that the body was already in a state of decomposition. However, Hambeukers could indicate that Morales had been killed by knife stabbings. He could say little about the motive of the alleged perpetrator. "It is very important for us to determine the exact details and the precise course of action. We are still busy working on that," according to Hambeukers.

Governor Edison Rijna gave special attention to the personal suffering of the surviving relatives. "As a father, I can understand very well what the parents of Adriana Morales are going through," the first citizen said. The governor also called on the population to assist the police in this type of cases, with information that could help the investigation. "Our island is known as a beautiful island where you can pass a good time," Rijna said. He stated that these matters simply do not befit the island and also may have a huge negative impact on Bonaire as a tourist destination. The mayor called on parents to make their contribution to raising their children and keep them on the right track. "We all have a responsibility in this," Rijna said.

The investigation continues. The Justice Triangle, consisting of the Chief of Police, Chief Officer and Governor, asked for understanding for the fact that, in the interest of the investigation, many details can not yet be released.

MURDER OF ADRIANA MORALES DE FLORENCIO: FEMINICIDE?

DiarioCambio
http://www.diariocambio.com.mx/2017...te-buap-fue-asesinada-en-boanire-por-su-crush

The case of Adriana Morales de Florencio, murdered on Playa Grande on Bonaire Island, is a feminicide, because R. Samba, the man who murdered her, had a sentimental relationship with her, according to local media.

Journalist Aimed Ayubi of Live99Fm reported that the police believe that it is a feminicide because there are indications that the young woman was in a relationship with the man, who is married with four children. According to the version that provided two workers of a travel agency to the journalist, Adriana asked for an abortion clinic in the area.

While the investigations continue, relatives of the young woman confirmed her murder through the social networks.

This is very strange. Not because it could not have happened that way, but how did they meet if she was a Mexican student working on a cruise ship and he a local country court bailiff (or a clerk in that office) ??
I was under the impression that her work on the cruise ship was temporary, because she was still studying.

Earlier, it was reported that Chief Officer Henry Hambeukers could not answer the question when Morales was murdered: immediately after her disappearance or at a later date. Could it be that she went for an abortion to some quack instead of to the hospital? Bonaire is officially a Dutch town and most Dutch laws apply, including those about the standards for healthcare. Being foreign, Adriana would have had to pay for the treatment herself, and perhaps that is where the troubles started. Not enough money and boyfriend knows someone who will do for less. But something goes terribly wrong.

If all this is true. Let's wait for confirmation.

CREW MURDER CASE EXPLAINED

Daily Herald
https://www.thedailyherald.sx/islands/65620-crew-murder-case-explained

On Saturday, the focus was on a “Kunuku” (farm) with which the suspect is linked, as investigation by police revealed. Later that Saturday afternoon a search was carried out at this terrain and the buried, lifeless body of a woman was found.

The tattoos on her body were recognized as those of Adriana Morales de Florencio. Her parents were immediately informed and the kunuku closed off for further investigation. It took 12 hours before the body could be extracted from the ground because this had to be done with extreme caution in order to safeguard the investigation.

On Sunday, Adriana’s parents arrived on Bonaire and were received by The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN and the Island Governor. From that moment on Victim Support was available to them 24 hours per day. Also, a so-called family detective was appointed to be the link at all times between the Police and the family.

Adriana wouldn't have been able to leave the ship without her crew card - her official ship employee ID card. I wonder if that has been found?

In the short video from the CCTV camera, Adriana is carrying a small shoulder bag, type envelope. I assume thate she had her mobile phone, ID and money in that bag.
It wasn't mentioned that the bag was found together with the body. A first identification (or suspicion of) took place on the basis of the tattoo on her shoulder.
IMHO If the handbag had been there, this would have been reoprted as supporting evidence.

Given that the suspect is in prison and someone brought the phone to the Police, does that mean that more than one person (the suspect) were involved in Adriana's disappearance?

Shameful Verdict For The Most Brutal Murder Of A Crew Member | Crew Center

Yesterday, January 31, 2018, Kralendijk court of law sentenced the killer of the Royal Caribbean Crew Member, Adriana Morales De Florencio, to 17 years in prison, report news outlets from the small Caribbean island of Bonaire. In what can be described as the most horrific and inhumane murder of a cruise ship crew member in decades, the prosecutor asked for a 22 years sentence and $20,880 compensation for Morales family. Instead, the judge sentence was 17 years and a compensation of $1.107 and 70 cents, not enough even to cover Adriana’s burial.

The suspect received this sentence for manslaughter and for illegal firearm possession. The Public Prosecutor had asked that the suspect is convicted for murder, but the judge found (premeditated) murder not proven in this case. It is hard to believe that a court can give such a sentence to such a horrific murder, not to mention the humiliating compensation sum. We know that no sentence will bring Adriana back to her family and friends but the court needs to show respect for Adriana’s family.

Bonaire news media gives only the initials of the killer R.E.G.S. however, several Mexican news sources identified the man as Raysley Sambo, 45-years-old from Bonaire. They even posted a picture of him.
