Two Guthrie County sheriff's deputies shot serving arrest warrant; two others injured in officer-involved shooting

Guthrie County Sheriff's Office has reported that two deputies are recovering from gunshot wounds suffered when serving a search warrant. Des Moines Register

STUART, Ia. — Four people, including three law enforcement personnel, were injured after an attempt to serve an arrest warrant led to gunfire at a central Iowa apartment building.

Three Guthrie County sheriff's deputies and a Stuart police officer went to 615 SW Seventh St., Apt. 1, in Stuart at 10:40 p.m. to deliver a warrant, said Adam DeCamp, special agent in charge with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

Within moments, at about 10:43 p.m, someone inside the residence began firing a handgun at the officers, DeCamp said. Two deputies were struck by gunfire. A third was injured with a "non-gunshot wound," DeCamp said. One of the occupants of the home was injured by gunfire, as well.

Around 50,000 people north of Los Angeles have been ordered to evacuate after a brush fire broke out Thursday afternoon, officials said.
The Tick Fire near Agua Dulce in northern Los Angeles County has destroyed several structures, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. It had spread to 3,000 acres and was zero percent contained Thursday evening.

(GREENVILLE, Texas) — A gunman opened fire at an off-campus Texas A&M University-Commerce party, leaving two people dead and 14 injured before he escaped in the ensuing chaos, a sheriff said Sunday.

Authorities were working under the theory that the shooter may have been targeting just one person at the party of about 750 people in Greenville, 15 miles (24 kilometers) southwest of the Commerce campus and that others were just randomly shot, Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said

Suspect arrested in 5-year-old Renezmae's death
Malcolm Torres was arrested in Pojoaque Pueblo on a federal indictment Sunday, according to FBI spokesman Frank Fisher. He offered little detail and said additional information would not be released until after Torres’ initial appearance. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, that hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. Monday in Federal Court in Albuquerque.

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- Missing teenager Isabel Hicks and her abductor 34-year-old Bruce Lynch were spotted Monday night in Montpelier, according to Crime Insider sources.

After knocking on a woman's door in Western Hanover and being told that they were wanted, Hicks and Lynch allegedly ran off into the woods, CI sources report.

A nationwide Amber Alert has been active for Hicks since Friday afternoon. Louisa Police believe that Lynch, who is believed to be suicidal, may be armed with a handgun.

Troopers, FBI agents, and emergency responders are proceeding with caution as they carry out a manhunt in the woods in Montpelier.
