Biological mother pushes for answers after adoptive father is arrested

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Aundria Bowman was first reported missing when she was 14 years old in March of 1989.

Her body has never been found, and no one has been charged with her disappearance.

On Friday, Aundria's adoptive father was charged in a homicide case out of Norfolk, Virginia.

GALVESTON — A League City man who confessed to killing his ex-wife and stashing her body in the garage was sentenced to 30 years in prison Monday after striking a plea bargain with prosecutors.

Shaun Hardy, 35, was arrested on Dec. 30, 2016 after League City police found the body of Anne-Christine Johnson, Hardy’s ex-wife, wrapped in dark plastic and duct tape, with scented candles arranged around it in his garage.

Murder Accountability Project: MAP sues FBI (and others) for failure to report thousands of homicides

“The nonprofit Murder Accountability Project (MAP) has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs and other federal law enforcement agencies for failing to obey a 31-year-old Congressional mandate that homicides and other major crimes must be reported to the Uniform Crime Report (UCR), the nation's official accounting of major crimes.”

EL PASO, Texas -- A 29-year-old El Paso mother who vanished back in July after going to a concert was killed by her concert date, police alleged Wednesday, although her body has not been recovered.

Police arrested 28-year old Ricardo Marquez and charged him with the murder of Erika Andrea Gaytan. He was booked Wednesday into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a million dollars bond.

‘I didn’t shoot him:’ Trial continues for man accused of killing 2 employees

MILWAUKEE -- Matthew Neumann is on trial for two counts of first-degree reckless homicide and two counts of hiding a corpse.

Prosecutors say, earlier this year, two of Neumann's employees at Spot Free Cleaning -- Richard Conklin and Robert Hajduk -- went missing. Days later, investigators say two bodies were found in a burn pit on property leased by Neumann in East Troy.
