Search Underway For Missing 3-Week-Old Infant in Newhall Sheriff’s deputies from three stations and air units searched Saturday for a 3-week-old baby who was reported missing by her parents the night prior, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials. The parents reported their baby was missing from their home, located in the 21300 block of Alder Drive (map), around 9:35 p.m. Friday, according to an LASD news release. Deputies first searched the parents’ home but were unable to locate the baby, Lt. Brenda Cambra said.“The parents are discussing the incident with us, they’re talking with us, and they’re being very cooperative. It is an ongoing investigation and I can’t release more information about it,” Cambra said. Overnight, more than 50 personnel from the Santa Clarita Valley, Lancaster and Palmdale sheriff’s stations, as well as search-and-rescue crews and air units helped search for the missing girl.“In some ways it’s more difficult because there’s more people, there’s more places, there’s more locked doors,” she said. “But in some ways it’s easier because there’s more people to see things, to give information, possible witnesses.” When asked if the incident was considered an abduction, Cambra replied, “at this time it’s a search operation. We really want to find this baby.” Video at this link →

LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The California man who painted a widely circulated facial reconstruction of mysteriously murdered ‘Caledonia Jane Doe,’ now known to be Tammy Jo Alexander, 16, says he instantly recognized her as the subject of his reconstructions and, with the support of others, contacted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Carl Koppelman, 52, moderator for websleuth.com, an online crime sleuthing community, and portrait artist for missing persons, has recently been in contact with other curious and driven online communities across the country. He says he instantly recognized the face he had studied for over 5 years when he saw the missing person report from Florida in the summer of 2014.

Web sleuth helped find ID of dead girl
Gary Craig, Staff writer 7:52 p.m. EST January 27, 2015

Within a split-second after he saw the photo of the smiling young teen — her eyes asparkle, her curly blond locks framing a cherubic face — Carl Koppelman was certain the girl was "Cali."

From his computer, Koppelman, a member of a volunteer Internet group at Websleuths.com, started a chain of events that led to Monday's announcement: A girl found fatally shot in a Livingston County cornfield in 1979 had finally been identified.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office on Monday announced that the unidentified girl found in Caledonia — nicknamed Cali because of where her body was discovered — is Tammy Jo Alexander, a teenager who went missing from Florida in the late 1970s.

Alexander had just turned 16 when her body was found in November 1979. She had been shot in the forehead and in the back.

Father faces murder charge in case of missing baby Delano Wilson
delano-wilson1.jpg

(snip)

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 4, 2015) – After months of no new developments in the case of missing baby Delano Wilson, prosecutors filed a murder charge against his father, Willie Wilson.

Wilson was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. Taniasha Perkins, Wilson’s girlfriend and the child’s mother, was also taken into custody.

Missing Persons detectives and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office have prepared a probable cause affidavit to charge Wilson despite the absence of a body. Such a case would be based on circumstantial evidence, such as inconsistent statements from Wilson, cooperation from another witness or evidence seized during the search.

A suspect is being considered in the Adre'anna Jackson murder from 9 years ago in Lakewood, WA. It was a very active thread at the time. She was the 10-year-old girl whose Mom said she last saw her leaving for school (on a snow day) and then was found murdered some time later. Thread: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-10-Lakewood-2005&highlight=Adre'anna+Jackson

http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Child-luring-suspect-eyed-in-cold-case-Lakewood-child-murder-290597061.html

Lakewood police tracked down suspect Patrick Huber. The 59-year-old later confessed, according to Lt. Chris Lawler of Lakewood Police Department.

"He said he wanted to touch them all over and touch himself and things like that," Lawler said.

When the luring attempts were reported it set off alarms with detectives. This is the same area where 10-year-old Adre'Anna Jackson was found murdered back in 2005.
