In the first interrogation of Brendan it's clear he believes Teresa is still alive, so that indicates to me he has no idea what happened to her and thus zero participation in any crimes against her.

All the allegedly incriminating remarks come after law enforcement employees begin inducing Brendan to lie.

So if you believe that, you believe Brendan was also lying to his own mother. I don't but I do believe Brendan would have done anything SA told him to do and did ...

After being groomed by law enforcement employees it seems to me Brendan did end up lying to his own mother as they instructed him to do.

Do have any proof whatsoever that LE told Brendan specifically to lie to his mother ?

You might recall that law enforcement employees suggested to Brendan that he tell his mother the story they concocted.

Here's an example of Brendan 'confessing' to his mother:

Barb: Was your attorney there when Mark and those guys were?
Brendan: No
Barb: Don't talk to them no more
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: They are putting you in places where you're not.
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: You know the the reason they're talking to you is to get more information out of you and what your attorney should be doing is putting an order on all of them that they can not interfere with you or your family members unless your attorney is present.
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: Cause they're all investigators for the Halbach case.
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: Not the Dassey case, it's the Halbach case.
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: Cause the only thing that they're putting out there is bad stuff about you and if you weren't there at the time if you didn't slice her throat. You did not have sexual contact with her
Brendan: No
Barb: That's the reason that they're saying. Yeah, that's all in the report here that Mom's got.
Brendan: Yeah. So if I was in the garage cleaning up that stuff on the floor, how much time will I get though for that?
Barb: What was it?
Brendan: I don't know. It was this reddish-black stuff
Barb: See what they're probably going to do is turn around and have it that "Steven said this, Steven is saying you were here". If you say "Yeah" not meaning "Yeah it's true" just "Yeah", they're going to say OK, Brendan was there. Brendan did that. And then they're going by Steven and saying well Brendan said this and Brendan said that.
Brendan: But what does Steven say about it?
Barb: Steven just says that you're a "dumb *advertiser censored*".
Brendan: Yeah. Well last time I talked to Mark and that they said that Steven was trying pin me and Bobby for it.
Barb: Yeah, they come to our house wondering what Steven said, right over the phone, to Chuckie, mind you, that he going to set it up with his attorney that he blames it on me and Earl ·
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: And I looked at Mark and Tom and told them that well if he tries doing that he is going to be one sorry son-of-a-. Brendan: Yeah
Barb: I told them it is pretty pathetic he has to go "fricking" kill somebody and take an innocent kid down with him
Brendan: Yeah and plus if he didn't do it then why would was he trying to hide up north that one day
Barb: But see they got that on camera that you were sitting right across the table from Steven smiling at him.
Brendan: I had my head down
Barb: Yeah
Brendan: That's cause they said act normal.
Barb: Um-huh
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: It is normal, Brendan to sit down all the time. So did you see the body in the fire?
Brendan: No
Barb: Steven says that you seen the body in the fire
Brendan: No
Barb: You know if he killed her?
Brendan: Not that I know of
Barb: So then how do you know that there was a bullet shell outside of the garage
Brendan: Cause when Mike came up here he had pictures of it
Barb: They told everybody that you told them that there was bullet shells inside the garage
Brendan: No
Barb: That Steven shot her 10 times
Brendan: No. In the picture they had a bullet right by a crack or something cement
Barb: Uh. Don't believe those guys what they say.
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: You don't need to talk to them. It's just that on that Monday when they took you out of class at 10 o'clock. They said that they called me and asked me to talk to you. They never did.
Brendan: Yeah
Barb: They never called me on that Monday

IMO there is better reason to trust Brendan when he actually informs his mother in his own words of what the transcripts show - law enforcement employees fed him information, manipulated him with their lies, and threatened him into saying things that were not true.

The 5/13 call to Barb is all I need coupled with the interviews Brendan did with LE, each of them becoming more and more incriminating. And for Brendan to say on the stand he made the whole thing up based on the book "Kiss the Girls" when he could only read at a 4th grade level, puhleez ....

...plus all the guidance he received from law enforcement employees who supplied him with alleged facts that supported their narrative and manipulated him with lie upon lie.

Evidently, the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals doesn't agree with you and the Supreme Court wouldn't even take the case. So unless KZ uncovers new evidence that exonerates SA, BD is going nowhere until his eventual release from state prison.

I'd best my last dollar that Barb, ST, and all of Brendan's brothers know exactly what SA/BD did and all of the Averys know as well.

But why would that stop them from playing along with MaM2 if there was a remote chance their relative could be released from prison ? Not a lot of angels in that clan ...

Yes, some judges don't agree with my own opinion or the opinion of other judges and experts.

It's sad but true many innocent people are confined in prison - like Steven Avery knows for himself as a result of the 1985 case.

While I'll agree wholeheartedly with the fact that a small % of people are innocent and confined in prison and that included Avery in 1985, that does not correlate with his conviction of the TH murder. Different time & different circumstances.

Michael O Kelly, is that you? lol

You don’t seem to think much of this family?

I don't either. But I probably think more of them than the LE in this case.

I'd consider a confession to be very incriminating if I had never heard of false confessions before or never read the other transcripts. I genuinely cannot point to anything and say "That must be what is convincing to Sustained."
And for Brendan to say on the stand he made the whole thing up based on the book "Kiss the Girls" when he could only read at a 4th grade level, puhleez ....
Too stupid to read a book, but a genius at cleaning up crime scenes.

That doesn’t mean he can only read fourth grade books, it means he comprehends at a fourth grade level.

I have to wonder if those who believe Dassey is guilty have any true experience with people who are “slow” or have a low IQ.

Where I work the policy is to hire 'slow' people to do some of the menial work. One of them I often see reading adult level novels while on his break. I don't have any idea how he would score on a test, but he is a bit gullible and has been the victim of a lot of pranks by some of the more 'sophisticated' people who work with us. I would be very afraid for him if he fell into the clutches of the likes of Fassbender, Weigel, or O'Kelly.

My oldest daughter has an IQ of 72. She’s 22, has a job working with kids, and in general, has done well. However, she’s very much a young kid in how she thinks and processes. She reads adult books but definitely doesn’t comprehend what she’s reading. She’ll get to the end and restart the book because she says she “missed parts,” but she just couldn’t understand the storyline at times because of her reading level. She is very easily persuaded and even at her age, we are very cautious about who she is allowed to spend time with because she is a through and through follower and it doesn’t take long before she’s not herself but simply parroting others. There are times I’ll ask her something and her answer sounds so bizarre coming from her, and I’ll know immediately that she’s repeating something she heard someone else say. She knows it’s the proper response but doesn’t actually know what it means.

To be honest, I do sometimes have to read things several times before i feel like I get them!

Just in the sense that it is tainting your opinion of the case.

Thanks for your opinion but I firmly believe SA/BD killed TH - has nothing to do with the Dassey/Avery families. Has to do with the evidence presented and nothing to do with the controlled tests and theories KZ has come up with.
