What? She felt so bad that she decided to capitalize on the tragedy?

I'm not one of the ones who goes on and on about people making money off the story, etc. What bugs me is when some people are raked through the coals for doing it, while others' are off the hook and their actions are justified for some reason. I'm not posting this to BB12 because I don't know how you feel about this topic but I sense you are sympathetic toward Kristina. If she felt so bad about missing clues as to the danger Caylee was in, why would she take money for telling what she knew versus just trying to help?

I can just share with you my opinions.

I get the feeling she is a very gullible person. I feel like she can be easily manipulated. I do not know this for a fact but I can honestly see the producers of GLOBE talk Kristina into anything. In my opinion- I do not think Kristina thought about money or selling a "story". I think she was so shocked and offended, by Cindy's behavior, Kristina just wanted to defend herself. Selling the story to GLOBE is not a wise decision but I do defend her and I do have sympathy and compassion for Kristina.

You stated "capitalize on the tragedy". What if Kristina, at the time, thought only of defending herself and just did not have the mental capacity to form the where with all to comprehend how her choices and actions could be seen as capitalizing on the tragedy?

Personal Opinion: I find it repulsive to capitalize on the tragedy. By selling a story to the tabloids one is also adversely affecting the prosecution case at the same time.

The problem with talking about Kristina and getting her into the public eye is that it proves Casey is lying once again. If Kristina was watching Caylee, then Zanny obviously wasn't. But Cindy said it was Zanny. Casey said it was Zanny. Lee and George said it was Zanny. Going back and saying it was really Kristina now is only more ammunition to help prove that there is no Zanny.

And that, IMHO, is why none of the Anthonys ever talk about Kristina watching Caylee.

ITA angelmom, this also coincides with CA's statement that she believes KC refers to whoever is watching Caylee at the time as "Zanny".....plus.....LE would not want a big deal made out of Kristina's role because IT DOES contradict the imaginanny defense....also could be why we have seen nothing except a small statement.....they want nothing else documented for the "Sun to Shine on..." IYKWIM.....She could be the SA witness or an impeaching witness or both without having been deposed....but was she on the SA's witness list? I haven't seen that yet...off to look for it...

personally I feel Kristina was woven into KC's stories about her nanny, it would be interesting to know if she had a car accident where she spent time in the hospital....KC may have stolen that scenario from real life....or even more....

Now from what I can see of this list?
MOST of those (Not in the family or on the defense team or inserted players who did not belong) were defensive. Folks being thrown under the bus and striking back, or knowing they WOULD be thrown under the bus and striking first.

The state is not doing interviews, so if none of these DEFENSIVE interviews were ever aired or published, all we would see if CASEY ANTHONY's SIDE OF THE STORY...

Under no circumstances is THAT fair.

I do not believe the news should be bought.

But the Anthonys set the stage in August of 2008 and sold CAYLEE to the highest bidder...so after that who can be held accountable? If her own FAMILY put her up for sale? Well how much moreso these "fringe" players?

One thing that I have wondered about is this - If Tony was her boyfriend why was she making such a big deal about Lee getting his phone number for her. Would she not know her boyfriends phone number? Doesn't make sense to me at all. :waitasec: On video 1 on post 15 she asks Lee this and then Christine. Very odd.

I do not know anybody's phone number anymore, they are all stored in the cell. all I do is press one button to get whomever I want.

Now THAT I do recall and that was George and Cindy as well. Because I remember they were upset because the story was not portrayed the way THEY wanted it portrayed...

On Amy...I am almost 100% certain that we have never seen Amy sell out...yet...that I have seen. Anyone else recall the article in question? I wonder if Amy knows Kristina?

Honestly, I don't know what to say. I've observed that when certain people have told their stories and received money for doing so poster's have backed off from criticizing them. Then, when someone else writes something or gives an interview where money is exchanged, poster's jump all over them for doing so.

My recollection of Kristina is that she pleaded with KC to reveal what she knew about Caylee and that KC basically told her to chill out which was strange. After that Kristina was no longer part of the case radar as far as I know until she appeared in the Globe. Heck, I'd pay somebody to tell the truth. These tabloids pay people for nothing as we rarely learn any substantial info from them.

Do you think Kristina was/is worried? Casey has already been locked up with the DP hanging over her head. It bugs me that a lot of her friends were vague about the last time they saw Caylee, although the month long delay didn't help matters. For instance, Kristina knew they went for a walk but she wasn't sure if it had been Weds., Thurs. or Fri. Upon reading their testimonies, I was often left with the feeling that the friends were leaving info out and not being totally forthcoming. :waitasec:

ITA: When the media went to her door, she said a few words and closed it. She's been quiet ever since.

Whatever she did say was not very newsworthy. She essentially told them to leave her alone...

IMO, if AH honestly doesn't know anything about what happened to Caylee, she's the only one who deserves to get paid. That girl was robbed, used and led to believe she had found a 'heart' friend. She was led down the road to near homelessness and told she must have been sleepwalking (messed with her head). KC did seem to choose vulnerable girl friends I guess.

Are you ? Remember TL got real angry with Clint for going on T.V. in the very beginning? He seemed to answer all the questions honestly and nothing seemed off about his interview. For the life of me, I don't recall who interviewed him. Are you saying that you're sure he wasn't paid for giving that interview? I honestly don't know but if he wasn't paid we should not being saying that he was - that's not fair.

Having been part of a violent crime, no amount of money can make you whole. In my opinion team Anthony made a bunch of $$. Those that were involved through no fault of there own deserve compensation . They had to get lawyers, names slung in media, persons of interest, there lives will never be the same, again through no fault of there own. Just having a mutual person who they thought was there friend brought chaos to their lives. They were just starting lives journey into responsible adulthood. All of them had jobs and working toward a career. Most had their own apt and car, as well as spending money. They were doing the right thing when this evil came into their lives. Having been through something awful at 22 and now at 42 my life was ultimately changed having been touched by evil through no fault of my own. I too declined interviews, America's Most Wanted, news shows, etc. But looking back, I should have taken the money because working has been almost impossible with PT SD. I do agree that the folks that have inserted themselves JW, DC, jb , KF and others do not deserve to be compensated with the stories they have. But the innocent and unknowing friends I have no problem with them making money, they will never be the same again because of the evil that touched them.
