Her family said earlier that day Bryanna Gentry made plans to go see her grandparents up north with her 5-year old son. She changed her mind and went to see her boyfriend instead. While at his place, police said, someone shot and killed her and then shot her boyfriend.

“However he’s not cooperating. He will not tell the police who did this and, as far as we know, he’s currently in hiding,” said Richard Speck, Bryanna Gentry’s father.

But the good news is that her son wasn’t hurt, physically.

“That little boy misses his mom, misses her voice, misses her laughter, misses being held and cuddles. He needs you to speak out,” said Lisa-Marie Speck, Bryanna’s stepmother.

Months later, the family is wanting answers and justice.

Hoping LE has some answers and can put her killer behind bars soon.
She was 26 years old. Just dammit.

There's an appalling dearth of MSM coverage of this crime, especially given the odd circumstances surrounding her murder.

Seriously, bf is there at the time, is shot himself somehow, and won't cooperate?
And he's now supposedly in hiding?

Something ain't right here. I'm thinking it's his story.

BG's family deserves answers. And BG herself deserves justice.

Agree -- as soon as I read that bf was shot and then disappeared, the hinky meter started pinging. Strange things do happen, but we need to hear from the bf, and from those who know him.

This was a very sad case. Through some digging, they arrested a person 4 months after the crime but there is no record of this person being incarcerated which I find through social media they aren't. So it looks like they still have no closure. The bf is going about life normally so I'm hoping he truly doesn't know anything that he's still not disclosing. Hope something comes up for the family at some point to give them answers.
