I heard about Alejandra missing tonight on the local news. There's definitely reason to worry when a caring mother wasn't there for her daughter's birthday. I'm praying this woman shows up safe and alive.

"Relatives said her subsequent texts talking about getting money and running into someone’s father did not sounds like Gutierrez."

"She did not respond to a text asking if everything was alright."

and this --

"As they search for her, the family is trying to keep Gutierrez’s two children calm. Her daughter celebrated her fourth birthday without her mother."

“So she wouldn’t feel such a void, we made a big cake to distract her,” said Maricela."

I'm glad there has been some attention from the news! Poor family though, it must be so scary.

The news report had some of her family making statements, even a woman cousin from Tijuana saying Alejandra never disappears like this. BUT WHAT I WANT TO KNOW is...Did they question the boyfriend? She was going to his house. :gaah: What's he say? Did I miss something?

"Fontana police said this is still an active investigation. Detectives have interviewed her family members and everyone has been cooperative, they said. They have not identified a suspect at this time."

When I read "they have not identified a suspect at this time" I immediately conclude they know there was a crime involved. Indeed, where is the elusive BF?

A man has admitted to killing a 27-year-old San Diego woman and burying her in the backyard of his Fontana home, where her body was discovered, police announced Friday.

Detectives served a search warrant at the home of 40-year-old Cesar Rosales about 8:50 p.m. Thursday evening and, with assistance of a cadaver dog, found victim’s body on the property, the news release said.

Just saw the news. Is the guy they arrested the "boyfriend"? Anyone know?

here in CA we call that a reservoir or basin. we have san luis reservoir or hetch hetchy reservoir.

In Illinois a slough is a shallow lake or bog. In Texas the same thing's called a tank. It would be a really nice thing if people would use proper English at least in news articles. I'll admit I don't use proper English, but I'm not a writer.. At my age I'm lucky to be able to type, making sense is the least of my worries..

Indeed.

Missing San Ysidro woman found buried on Fontana boyfriend’s property

<snip>

With search warrant in hand, and the aide of a cadaver dog, detectives found Gutierrez’s body buried in the backyard of Rosales’ home, police said in a news release.

According to the police statement when detectives interviewed Rosales, he admitted to the homicide and to burying Gutierrez’s body in his yard.

<snip>

Her car was found in the parking lot of a liquor store Saturday in Fontana near the Rialto border just a short distance from Rosales’ home, according to a previous police statement.

<snip>

Elvia Gutierrez went on to say that Rosales denied seeing Alejandra Gutierrez and was being carefree when her family questioned him about her disappearance.

At least one Spanish language newspaper here in SoCal has a reporter with pics of the yard where Alejandra was found on his FB page, but as it's the reporter's personal page and doesn't show as MSM itself, I don't think I can link them.

However if you search her full name on FB it'll come up - and he's a reporter with Unidos en el Sur de California.

ETA: His first name is the masculine version of Alejandra's name (but the photos alone will make it obvious)

Here's another (different than the ones on that reporter's site I mentioned previously)

RIP Alejandra. May your children get all the love and support they need to get through the worst loss a child can endure.

This makes me sick. A young, vibrant woman and a mother too.
I will NEVER understand how someone can kill a human being.

Rest in peace Alejandra, and may God send His Angels to your children to help them throughout their lives.

I feel so sorry for her 4 yr old baby girl. Her birthday will always be a sad, unhappy day, most likely. Very tragic.
