Maybe she never met up at orchard maybe she met somewhere else. Maybe foul play was involved.. She was tossed. car was tossed. phone was forgotten about till le pinged.... crazy guys do force gfs to give them their phones.. but 751 no further use of phone Bothers me.. unless crazy ex He's bugging decided to leave phone off/ dead. He knew where she was she takes off from house nye follows her as attacks
The no phone activity bothers me and the fact that a search warrant was obtained bothers me. If LE could obtain a SW, they must have some evidence that has not been made public. There would not be the effort put into locating her by LE, as she is an adult. So, that's my take on the situation...

I agree law enforcement is going very hard on this case I do feel like they know something we don't... also was curious they are asking for any video footage ppl may have from 9 p.m. up until 2 a.m. makes me wonder what might of happen during those time frames or why they are giving it up until 2 a.m.

Idk, my perception is that it doesn't really take much to have probable cause for a search warrant to be granted. For instance in another case I'm following there was facebook data requested via SW from the victim's friend because it was likely that correspondence was occurring between the victim and the friend. And maybe that correspondence would have some bearing on the murder case.

A few things...Has there been any mention of her ID or purse/debit card? And, if she truly traveled only the back roads when drinking, it seems highly unlikely she would cross Hwy 99, <modsnip>

“We walked up to it, recognized it, and we backed up and called 911. What gave it away

I went out last night, and now I can't find my phone. I went to 2 places, and was having a good time, so I didn't check my phone. I drove, so that's horrific... but it's possible that a "free spirit" (per her ex) could lose their phone while jumping "in and out" (per the po-po) of their car to push it out of a ditch, and then stumbling through an orchard... I FB messaged my friend to call it. What's fricken annoying is that I recently wiped my phone, and didn't reinstall the "Where's my Droid" app... but I digress.

My daughter has 3 chargers. She doesn't take them with her. Nor do I. It would do people a load of good to be disconnected once in awhile. A few years ago we didn't have 24 hour a day connectivity. And in every case on WS, cell phones don't keep anyone alive. Jmo.

OMG- SO true!!

After reading this thread, news articles etc I am STILL so darn confused over this phone. I don't understand what LE gains by keeping this info close to the vest.
I think it's the closest to a smoking gun that they have. If there is one. If there wasn't that false ransom text, I would TOTALLY be swayed by another tip that there was foul play. Thanks trigger!!

Im honestly not sure why there are issues about when the phone was found. Its been stated numerous times it was found by a Live Oak resident on Monday evening. Sure they dont report an exact time but I think its pretty clear the phone was in Yuba City near the field on Sunday morning and at the orchard near the truck on Monday. My guess it was dumped there Sunday night.

Found Monda evening:

Again stated it was found Monday evening shortly after the truck

Hi guys.

I know it's hard because it's like like unringing a bell, but please please please do not allow anything you may have read in the scanner thread to enter into your theories up here as if it's based on fact.

We've gotta keep any possible scenarios posted here based what has been reported in MSM.

:tyou:

I totally agree! Why have they narrowed a timeline on surveillance videos down to 2 a.m. ? Something has given them a more specific timeline it seems. My guess is they have reason to believe she was followed and they want to see which vehicles may have left when she did and if that vehicle returns in the right time frame to have done "something " to her. What strikes me is they're only asking for the surveillance path to and from ' masonry Mikes' house.

prob to see if anyone was walking away from the area.

I agree law enforcement is going very hard on this case I do feel like they know something we don't... also was curious they are asking for any video footage ppl may have from 9 p.m. up until 2 a.m. makes me wonder what might of happen during those time frames or why they are giving it up until 2 a.m.

also, many are mentioning that whoever had the phone until LE pinged it... well, no one would know if the phone was "pinged" it doesn't make a sound. it seems to me that whoever had the phone in that area found it after, or it was found, picked up and forgotten about until the story hit the news.

Sorry to post this again, but I've made some corrections and added some more links to the Timeline, and added the Press Conf. by authorities.

After dinner she went back to the house where a party was being hosted. She was drinking and the son said that they tried to get her to stay the night because she had been drinking at their party. The son says his dad walked her out to her car and then she left. The son believed she would have taken the back roads to avoid the police. There are a couple of ways she could have gone to where the vehicle was found (if she was the one driving.) The thing I find odd is that it would have been a 20 minute drive according to a local and from the time she left the house to the video where the vehicle was left was 40 minutes. That is enough time to take her somewhere in Yuba City or somewhere in between YC and the vehicle.

First off....welcome to Websleuths boswell! Thanks for posting.

I think your timeline is off. As mentioned elsewhere in the admittedly long thread, the timestamp on the video of the truck was off by an hour. So, it's my understanding that the people at the residence said she left around 11pm. Her truck was caught on video, 20 minutes drive away, at 10:55 pm. That means that her truck had to have left their house 25 minutes before they said she left the house.

Of course, the 11 o'clock time frame was just an estimate on their part and we all know that when people are drinking and having fun they don't always pay close attention to the time.

ETA: Niner's excellent timeline is a great reference!!

I dont believe theyre asking for footage near orchard though. Correct me if im wrong not sure where this lies but Butt House Rd Yuba city to Butt County Line in Live Oak .. But yeah I guess to see if there were any card or persons possible waiting for by the house prior to her leaving, maybe followed her and what time they came back. I guess to see who was coming and going, but why cut off at 2am I wnder what has narrowed it down.

prob to see if anyone was walking away from the area.
