"She has a support system, she knows she can come to us. She knew she had a family to go to so that's what makes this situation scarier because it's been two weeks and there's no sign," said Ana Maria Leal, daughter of Barbosa.

Her daughter told us although she spoke with her the day before she went missing, her mom's husband was with her the day she went missing.

"He was the last person with her and says they were arguing at his car shop and she took off through the back door," said Leal.

The car shop Leal is referencing is called Corner Shop Automotive Services, which is about seven minutes away from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Allegations of domestic violence and missing money have surfaced after a 53-year-old woman was reported missing earlier this month, according to warrants filed by sheriff’s investigators.

Additionally, an auto shop the warrants say is run by missing woman Ana Barbosa and her husband was searched by authorities on Thursday morning. Vehicles — including one marked “Kern County District Attorney Forensic Science Division” — were parked outside Corner Shop Automotive Services on Norris Road.

The warrants say family of Barbosa — who hasn’t been seen since May 6 — told investigators she was previously the victim of domestic violence by her husband and had been saving money for two years to leave him.

That money is now missing, a family member said according to the warrants.

Investigators found blood in a hallway in the Barbosa’s southwest Bakersfield home and swabbed it for DNA testing, according to the warrants.

He told investigators he hadn’t seen her since she left the auto shop around 4 p.m. two days earlier.

“Fabian claimed Ana must have unplugged the Wi-Fi when she left because he did not have a recording of the event,” an investigator wrote.

“Ana’s family reported that she had never been reported missing in the past, they have never been unable to contact her this long, she had no history of mental illness and she had no medical conditions,” an investigator wrote in the warrants filed this week in Superior Court.

Fabian told law enforcement that after their fight at the car shop, Ana wanted to take an Uber home, but he told investigators he ordered her one instead.

However, they did not find an Uber order on his phone that day.

Court documents reveal that Ana was the victim of unreported domestic violence by Fabian and Ana had told her family she suspected Fabian of infidelity.

Additionally, the report states that for the past two years, Ana had been saving money to leave Fabian.

Law enforcement reviewed surveillance video at both their home and the car shop and it revealed the last place Ana was seen was at their home at 9:00 a.m..

Investigators did not see Ana on video at the car shop.

Fabian told investigators that Ana must have turned off the wifi.

Not that I don't hope for good news, but this certainly appears to be yet another senseless DV loss of life :(
Doesn't seem like he was overly inteligent or covered his tracks well, so hopefully Ana's loved one's have answers soon.
