MP was homeless and living in the Sacramento County area. MP was last contacted by law enforcement on March 4, 2019 when she was released from the Sacramento County Jail. MP'S family is from Ohio and their last contact with the MP was by telephone in April 2018.

Head Hair Description: Thick straight shoulder length hair - Red tint.

• Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, blue eyes. Smith may wear prescription eyeglasses. She has a tattoo of a crescent moon and the phrase "I love you to the moon and back" on the inside of her right arm, and a tattoo of flowers in black ink on the outside of her right upper thigh. Photos of the tattoos are posted with this case summary.

Smith was homeless in the Sacramento, California area at the time of her disappearance. She last had contact with her family in Ohio by phone sometime in April 2018. On March 2, 2019, she was arrested. She was last seen when she was released from the Sacramento County Jail two days later. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

Concerning....a trippy (LSD?) mushroom picture, talking about bongs...not to mention the mugshot on Charley Project. On different escort sides, arrested. Spiraling down..... poor girl. I'm so sorry.

Important things:

• Ashleigh was mad at Amy at the time of her disappearance and was not keeping in steady contact with her due to Amy's disapproval of her sudden lifestyle change and drug use.
• Ashleigh was homeless at the time she went missing.
• Amy (Ashleigh's mom, RIP sweet angel) said that someone had been opening snapchats sent to Ash's account.
• Ashleigh had been going by the name Kinzy on escorting sites.
• Amy contacted a Sacramento news station and they connected her with Sacramento Swop (Sex Workers Outreach Project) - a California State social justice network dedicated to reducing harm, improving healthcare, and upholding both civil and human rights of sex workers and their communities. Our focus is on ending violence and stigma through education and advocacy, while addressing the health and wellbeing of both trafficking victims and those who engage in survival sex.
• Amy's contact at SWOP said a retired DA that she was friends with owed her a favor so she asked him to look into Ashleigh's case - he came back with very interesting news that Ashleigh was alive and in Kentucky (Kentucky is where Amy resided before she passed away). No additional info was provided.
• Amy sent the info of this man along with the statement to the detective on Ashleigh's case and he did not seem interested in contacting the man who provided that information.
• The detective discovered that there were a few men using these escorting sites who claimed Ashleigh "ripped them off".
