Snipped for focus.

Ahem, that is entirely untrue.
No one at WS has accused anyone in this case. Possibly elsewhere.

Most of us have merely pondered what was said by him in msm.

But everyone can voice their opinion and all of us are free to post without any telling us how to comment.
So all is good.

We are basing this case on what was stated in msm.
RT claimed that LE told him his poly was deceptive.
It may not have been -- as RT told the news reporter interviewing him that he hadn't slept.

WS's have continually given him the benefit of the doubt; to (most) of our credit.
We may be a nosy bunch ;) , but we have all been fair to the spouse about this case.

In many missing cases, LE themselves will focus on the last person to see the missing .... relative or not.
Until they are cleared.

No one has been cleared or LE would have said so.

And LE's word is good enough for me.
Until we at WS hear from THEM that she has been abducted (like RT said she was) or that LE feels she actually became lost on a clearly paved trail with the RV in sight --- we need to ask questions so Barbara can be found.

^^^ Ita.
Thanks for your insightful post, @MsBetsy !

It helps to read an entire post and not cherry pick.

The VI is verified; and can post what his observations are.
Nothing wrong with that.
It helps to not denigrate his opinions as he himself has known Barbara's husband for years, and understands him far better than we ever will.
This may help to crack this case !
MOO
Love this, articulates exactly my thoughts

This. ^^^
Also, sroad's photos helped to understand more fully how clear the path was and why she most likely didn't get 'lost'.
We still have not been told where he was standing when he took the photo and she walked ahead.
I just wanted to point out that we do not know what path they were on. Granted the main path looked pretty clear, but they may not have been on that particular path. Also @iscaremyself posted pictures around the rock formations and pathways nearby and they actually was not following the path they thought they were. We need to remember all of the helpful information posted by our members who have visited the area.

hello Nikynoo, will you please elaborate? i do not understand what you mean.
thank you
It may be helpful to read all the threads (to give you a fuller picture), but in brief, Barbara's son has made outlandish claims (and not just against RT) which have not been backed up by any evidence. I cannot say more than this as it is against TOS, but earlier threads may give you some pointers.

i have read earlier threads. i meant what exactly are you referring to when you state 'imaginary'. the original post you replied to was regarding communication.

I think the time was closer to noon, just calculating from their confirmed (by neighbor, kennel, and cameras) departure time. MOO
Yes, but we don't know if they made any earlier stops before Hidden Hill Road.. It's quite feasible. Or they might have spent some time eating/drinking before going for the walk.

I believe the VI said he could not get a straight answer from Matt as to how they communicated, as to whether by phone or email.
So when, how often, or at what point they started communicating again may not be known.
That's what I wondered. If there was an independent source for this besides what the son has told the VI.

Yes but the thing is the description came from somewhere. Did RT say underwear to LE or on the 911 call because he doesn't know the difference? Or did the DOJ get the pic, of her on that day and they couldn't tell the difference.
That's what I thought was the most likely explanation. That they saw a photograph and misinterpreted what she was wearing. You might have to look closely to distinguish a black bikini from a black bra and pants, if the latter were plain in style.

DOJ had to get their info from the police report taken from RT.. All info RT gave them was recorded and written. That info leads to an 80 person search team with specialists including helicopter.

As California's top-level investigative law enforcement agency & legal department, CA DOJ has statewide authority with over 4700 employees (approximately 1100 being state attorneys) and a budget of $1,047,982,000 (1 billion).[2] The department has a long history within the state, and its law enforcement personnel have a reputation of being some of the best in the country. Besides its support of the California Attorney General, the department is frequently mentioned in the newsmedia for (among other activities):

  • Its assistance to federal law enforcement agencies, for example, CA DOJ Special Agents working alongside their federal counterparts on cases and while federalized on several different task forces.
  • Its forensic laboratory work that processes evidence from multiple agencies throughout the state.
  • Its statistics, for example, on weapons sales in California.[3]
  • Its assistance to local law enforcement agencies, for example, on cases too large or complex for local agencies to handle alone, or use of CA DOJ databases.[4]

My point is they are number 1 in law enforcement and prosecution... If they are involved .. This is bigger then a lost or missing person.
