Starting to seriously worry that too much attention is being brought over to Valencia. While I'm sure we all are very hopeful that the sighting was him, quite a few people have claimed similar sightings sans the drinking lots of water detail which was given little to no thought.
The Habit on McBean Ave is approximately 10 miles give or take from where he went missing. While it is possible it is a very big stretch. Since the sighting came up this morning after happening last night most of the search in Castaic has been put off.
Now news has been notified that he might actually be in Valencia not Castaic and these confusing articles could hurt the hunt for BL.
I aided in getting the media out for days including KTLA and CBS however did not deal with any local news aside from asking The Signal's Jim Holt to go to the foot searches. I think mentioning sightings shouldn't be in the news unless they are confirmed via surveillance.
While red headed hair may only be 2%, I went to school with quite a few in the Santa Clarita area.

But appearing 10 miles from where he crashed would be logical, especially if he was on foot and slowly made his way over there, taking breaks to sleep. It would take about 3.5 hours if he walked consistently. But if he hung around the town of Castaic for a few days and then maybe Hasley Canyon park, it just makes sense. It's a progression toward where his folks live.
This is big news in the area. People aren't going to let their guards down, IMO, just because a possible sighting 10 miles away is being publicized.
And I have to say, I think the family is doing a great job. This is their son/nephew and they're going to do what they think is right for him. After a slow/non-existant start, due to not knowing what to do, they basically took EVERY bit of advice given to them and took off in their efforts to find Bryce, with a vengeance that is not often seen. And they have some incredible organizations advising them.
So at this point, I think it;s clear they know what they're doing. :moo:
It's been awhile since I posted. Has the burned body been ID'd? If LE hasn't told the parents that it's him by now, then I tend to think that it isn't.
That's kind of where I;m going. At first I was pretty positive it was Bryce. But after so many days with no ID, among other things, it's not that clear cut and I think we have room for hope here.
Just days after Mitrice Ricahrdson's remains were found, she was ID'd. And she had been laying out there for 11 months. If they could ID her in days, why not Bryce? Because maybe it;s just not him.
