This case has recently been added to NamUs, and it strikes me.
A teen's remains were found in a landfill in 1993.

-How many bones/what was found? How were they found?
- Does that mean he is a homicide victim, or was something else suspected?
(If he is a victim, there are surely many missing teens he could be.)
- Are they still available for DNA testing? Are dentals available?
- Why is there no PMI at all?
- What was done to try to identify him? What type of case is this? Why was he added to NamUs recently?

Camarillo, CA in dotted-red below. A lot not mentioned in the Namus Casefile. There is a landfill at the abandoned Camarillo Airport - seems to have been used in the past for military type use. Also just poking around on the net, the Camarillo State Mental Hospital closed in 1997 - I mention this b/c it's not entirely unusual to find remains in/around state facilities. I've noticed recently that many states are adding cases - perhaps additional resources/funding available. I don't consider it common at all to find 13-18 y/o people (or anyone for that matter) in a landfill; although it does happen. I've heard of it happening accidentally (for example if someone was sleeping in a dumpster or something, which then got taken away) but more oft than not, I believe it to be related to a crime.
