Police Search For Missing Man From San Rafael
February 8, 2018

Don Wilson,​ 50, was slated to meet his fiancée​ in Philadelphia Tuesday but never boarded a flight in San Francisco, according to family.

...Wilson is described as white, 6-foot-1 and about 200 pounds. He has a shaved head. He is possibly driving a gray 2002 Range Rover with California license plate 6FAM171.

Sgt. Lisa Holton with the San Rafael Police Department told KRON4 they visited Don Wilson’s residence in San Rafael, and the door was unlocked.

But no sight of Wilson.

However, there were no signs of struggle or anything suspicious.

But they did look into the flight that he was supposed to catch from SFO.

Sgt. Holton says Wilson’s family and friends are all trying to find him and contact him through calls, texts, and emails.

But no one is getting through.

Do you think the wording is saying he never did book a flight to travel to PA? Does it imply that this disappearance was planned by him? Or am I reading into it wrong...

Sounds like he maybe didn't want to see his GF, lied to her about coming? (I think they are saying that he had not purchased a ticket to fly.) But odd his friends can't find him...

the 1st article is dated the 8th so he's been missing a week and a day.
The door being unlocked and no contact does raise suspicion.
The articles differ slightly on his flight.. one says "supposed to catch" the others says "but never boarded a flight"
both leave open the possibility a reservation was never made, a ticket never bought.
If he decided to drive he would have got there by now.
house door unlocked suggests he let someone he knew in or
someone knocked then forced their way in.
I wonder if he has a harley.

This kron4 article specifically says "the flight" he was supposed to catch, so I think he had purchased a ticket and had a seat saved on the flight he missed.

His vehicle is probably at the airport, parked somewhere. Did they do a thorough search of all the parking lots?
