Missizzy: Yes, there is a possibility of an arrest, trial and conviction WHEN IN STATUTE VICTIMS come forward. Since info has been posted about Levin in the last four years, a number of victims have gone to the San Mateo Sheriff's office. But they're out of statute.

The woman who posted about Levin over at Bay Area Pink Kitty http://coolpinkkitty.xanga.com/?nextdate=8/29/2006+13:55:14.717&direction=n( website is still up but she hasn't posted on it in years) knows more than anyone about Levin. I have personally talked to her four years ago and she supplied me with a ton of information which is now in the hands of the San Mateo Sheriff's office. They want to speak with her but she has not contacted them. I have her name- IF it is the right name.

I believe she is still posting over at the San Mateo Daily Journal forum under the name Larry King. She wants him arrested, but she is shy about going to the police herself.

Additionally, if anyone can help us find Summer Arce, a woman in her forties from California who has a great deal of knowledge about Levin's activities, please let us know. May not be her real name. Mercyneal--Being that we've started to see a pattern of so many pedophiliac doctors, do you happen to know of any others who have been convicted who might have some link to Ayres, Levin, Levine, et al?

One thing I keep going back to is that doctors often get together at seminars, conferences, and trainings. Ayres and Levin live so close to major airports. Could these have been times that children or child *advertiser censored* was shared or traded?

I will do my best to see what I can to find the woman you mentioned.

We have been trying to establish a link between Levin and Ayres and Levine as well as former child psychiatrist Donald Lee Rife, who trained at Judge Baker in Boston just a year after Ayres and was later busted in three states for molesting young boys.

A child psychiatrist in California tells me that Levine used to come out to San Francisco for seminars but the psychiatrist does not know if he crossed paths with Ayres.

There will be a rally on Monday August 9 at 11:00 am in front of the Redwood City courthouse in California to protest the dismissal of a date rape drug case, in which a little girl was allegedly molested by the boyfriend Antony John Sadek,of her mother's. The protestors are protesting the actions of prosecutor Melissa Mckowan, who was also the prosecutor on the Ayres case. A press release just went out. The family has sued San Mateo County for failing to protect the young sex abuse victim and for defrauding the court.

According to the family of the victim, the prosecutor told the judge that the family didn't want the victim to testify, when in fact they did. This led to the dismissal of the case. The family has protested to McKowan's superiors- Steve Wagstaffe and James Fox and received no response.

The family also says that Mckowan did not do her homework in the Sadek case. Some victims of the Ayres case believe she did not do the proper prep work in the Ayres case, either.

Mark Klaas, father of Polly Klaas, will be one of the many crime victims advocates who will attend the rally in support of the mother and the child and to protest the DA's actions in the dismissal of the case.

OK here's just an OMG moment - Levin used to be one of my Dr's in my territory when I worked for a clinical laboratory around 1993 and 1994. I had moved to Nashville by the time his legal troubles went down. I did hear through the grapevine that he was busted for child *advertiser censored* and drugging his "girlfriend" and that his ex wife accused him of molesting the sons...

I can verify this mods if necessary. He was very, very perverted - always offering free gynecology exams when we came in (myself as field service supervisor, my best friend was the sales rep. and our other friend was the sales manager - we were all female). My last trip to his office was on his birthday when his office staff hired Miss Nude America to entertain him in his office. We were invited for his birthday but were a little shocked at this. The office doors were locked and it became very graphic and disgusting and then he disappeared with her in the back room. His staff kind of acted like this was all normal and I was low man on the totem pole in my company and Levin was a big client.

He was mean too - he would yell and scream and demean us if the courier didn't pick up on time or his panels weren't run properly or whatever. Just a total nut case in my opinion.

I just read all the stuff on him and I'm not shocked at what he's done or what he is but shocked he's still in this area. I'm going to ask around. Lab people are still lab people out there and I know a few still.

I feel sick about this. Ick.

Excerpt from story on suit filed by Crime Victims United of California

CVU specifically argues Sadek’s child was denied the right to a speedy trial because prosecutor Melissa McKowan sought several delays, the victims weren’t given reasonable notice about the case’s resolution, the victims weren’t given the right to be heard at court proceedings and weren’t informed of their rights.

McKowan could not be reached for comment but Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said she would clearly contradict the claims and was in constant contact with the family.

That rally is great - I can't be there but I'm going to post it on my FB page.

WHY would this prosecutor act in this manner? I'm glad she will be called on it. Too many times there is not enough zeal in going to trial with sexual abuse cases and I'd like to see more pressure on the DAs.

Edited to add: I get that the case may have been in jeopardy due to the inconsistency of the GHB tests on the wife's hair, and I get that without that verification the case may have not been able to stand on it's face...but the victim has a right to at least have someone try to seek justice on their behalf and if the victim is willing to testify then it's up to the jury who they believe. It gets so murky with family law cases too, ugh.

Ziggy: My sources say that one of the other reasons the case was dismissed is that the prosecutor told the judge that the family wouldn't let the child testify. The family say that is absolutely false and that they have documents to prove it.

Of course there are two sides to every story. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Any possible links to Bernie Ward, the Bay Area newscaster for Ayres or Levin? After all, Ward's wife, Dr Colleen Halloran actually is a pediatrician. Remember, she's the one with the less than gracious response to her husband's conviction. I just read that he will be out and about in a little more than 3 years. Time flies.

However, as Ayres can no longer afford Weinberg for the retrial, he has hired an unknown named Jonathan McDougall.

I like the way they check the box for "routine" in the Bernie Ward complaint.


It appears that the Palm Theater in San Mateo was demolished in 2005. Where do pervs in that city go now?

Some interesting facts and locations related to Bernie Ward's years as a priest. You've just got to wonder who else was connected with this guy?


Also, in the transcripts, a 30s something woman is described as being with the children who were photographed pornographically. Who would that woman have been? Any ideas? Were any women indicted when Ward was?

In looking at reviews of Ward's wife (she a pediatrician), they have four children.

I found it particularly sad when I came to the part where he must get off the IM to write something concerning tsunami victims.
