Flop sweat and desperation vibes and honestly, understandably so. She won't be raising her children and she'll be *checks notes* in prison. Her husband is quite a bit younger; for that and other reasons, I'd say there is zero chance he'll stay celibate and single for the next decade.

She's been living a good life under the umbrella of her very wealthy in-laws and that's all about to come to an end. It will be an absolutely brutal change. The good food, lovely husband, sweet children, nice house, spa days/facials/massages, all of it will be gone. She probably won't be eating bologna sandwiches on white bread twice a day but it won't be great.

She'll likely be in some type of cell/room with four other women, my personal idea of an unending nightmare.

The Hail Mary legal moves that won't go anywhere are just a wild hope that something, anything will stop the inevitable.

She could be cell mates with Jen Shah! And of course, her spouse will be visiting every weekend with the kids, declaring his undying love for her. She will "only" be 51 when she gets out, her faithful husband at that time will be, 40 After 11.25 years.

From this article:
Although Holmes and Balwani were indicted together, their trials were severed after Holmes indicated she intended to accuse Balwani of sexually, emotionally and psychologically abusing her throughout their decade-long relationship, which coincided with her time running the company. (Balwani’s attorneys have denied her claims.)

During her trial, Holmes claimed Balwani tried to control nearly every aspect of her life — including disciplining her eating, her voice and image, and isolating her from others.

Somehow I don't buy that he made her have the deep, sexy fake voice.

I don’t buy anything she’s said about him. They deceived investors and the public together and she has yet to take responsibility for her part in any of it despite being the driving force. It’s convenient for her to claim those things since strategically she is rather limited in ways of creatively selling her defense so all she can really do to offset and distract from her own culpability is use him.

I wish that EH's commissary cash could be attached for her judgment. She shouldn't be able to have any luxury items. And believe me, the commissary list for the federal women's prison in Texas where EH has requested to go, reads like an entitlement list!!!

Apparently there's another woman too- Charlie Javice accused of fraud over $175 million deal with JP Morgan Chase. Stephanie Ruhle was just talking about her on her show tonight.

Charlie's thread is here:

Disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes will not go to prison this week, despite a judge’s order that she begin serving her 11-year sentence on Thursday.

Late Tuesday, Holmes’ attorneys appealed that ruling to the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Under the court’s rules, that means Holmes will remain free on bail for now.

In their last-minute appeal, Holmes’ attorneys said Davila’s ruling contained “numerous, inexplicable errors,” including referring to “patient fraud counts” when Holmes was acquitted on the charges that she defrauded Theranos patients. They say she should be allowed to remain free while she appeals her conviction because the appeal is “likely to result in reversal.” The government has 10 days to respond to the motion.

Some "IANAL" thoughts:
  1. The appeal isn't likely to result in a reversal because ______, ______, and _____
  2. The government can respond anytime between now and the next 10 days.
  3. Holmes' lawyers will attempt every possible maneuver to delay Holme's reporting to prison, like *checks notes* filing zero hour appeals. This was likely planned well in advance.

Well, isn't that nice. Just like Jussie Smollett, skip prison, even though found guilty by a jury, and sentenced by a judge. Just file an appeal.

I am waiting on the next pregnancy announcement.

What BS!!! I wish that they'd do an emergency strikedown of this appeal. All she is doing is delaying the inevitable. You'd think that she'd learn from Balwani. GRRRR!
