I really hope this doesn't sound crass or come out the wrong way, but it has put another sad thought into my head..

Wouldn't it be a sort of sick/twisted and of course devastating revelation for the autopsy to determine that Erin was in fact not pregnant? I don't know what is worse??? Erin being murdered while pregnant or being murdered and not even pregnant.. :(

Sorry, I hope that doesn't offend anyone :(

agreed!!!
I couldn't be more proud of the sheriff's department and couldn't be more proud to say I'm a resident of this county.

I think SBSO did an outstanding job finding Erin and to those who thought they dropped the ball or were inept can now eat their words! Seeing the outcome of this case and how well SBSO handled the case gives me great hope foagreer the McStay family case that it too shall solve.

Thank you San Bernardino County Sheriff's department and all volunteers. Job very well done!! :loveyou:

Cabo, I am SOOO waiting for them to solve the McStay case. I worked that one for 3 years and am waiting for justice to be done for those two little boys.

ITA with your post about SBCSO. I am so impressed by the way they handled this case. Even though they never classified Lee as a suspect, it's clear now that he always was, from the beginning.

Especially IF that was the motive for the murder, that everyone thought she WAS pregnant. That would make it even worse. IMO. Bad enough she was murdered but if it turns out the REASON she was murdered didn't exist, it takes it to a whole new level of tragedy.

That thought crossed my mind. You're not alone in wondering.

Well, NL may have felt confident they would never find the body, and that no body no crime, but now they have found the body, and there is evidence and proof of the crime so she needs to brush up on her criminal knowledge the next time she takes part in a crime. FWIW.

Huge mistake here! Boasting to LE "they won't find the body" is not real intelligent. Added incentive to push on and complete the case. I guess intelligence really doesn't play into this when we see how they went about it. They may have been successful 40 years ago, but with today's LE and all the science available to them it would be hard to evade being caught. Too close net a situation.

Thanks for posting the photos of the mine shafts. I was wondering why cadaver dogs weren't utilized in searching...and those photos made it clear it would perhaps be very dangerous for dogs.

Ya know, I do kinda wonder what the "armed forces" will have to say with yet another one of their own committing murder back home. It seems to be a sad trend these days, what with Col. Russell Williams and Brent Burke(Bur-Key)

Probably won't be a next time, if ya naw'm'sayin.

Prolly not. It was obvious from her comments that she knew what had happened. And she didn't seem to be bothered by it. Time will tell.

Isabel Megli later tried to explain away Nichole's comments, by saying they were discussing the Laci Peterson case. That was the frame of reference for the statements Isabel made to LE.

Guess they never heard the ending to that story? I laughed when she made that lame excuse, how dumb does she think the general public is (not to mention LE)?

It was unclear Monday if Chris Lee has a lawyer. Nichole Lee could not be reached despite calls to her cell phone. Efforts to reach Lee relatives at their house in Anchorage were unsuccessful. The Desert Sun partnered with the Alaska Dispatch News in an effort to reach the family.

Oh yeh, NOW the Alaska news media is interested in doing a story on this case. Several sleuthers here tried in vain to get them to do a story there and turn up the heat on the Lee's in Alaska.

Lacey was found within a few months, so apparently she has a short attention span and did not even bother to check that out. And does she not know SP is on death row?
